Bora is one of the better teams in the peloton and Astana has been the worst WT team for like 3 years now. Money always plays a role about where the riders or other sports players sign because why wouldn't it- everybody wants to be financially well-off. But Bora, besides money, is a good option from a sporting point of view, unlike Astana, which barely had any riders thriving in there in the last few years.
It would be such an unlike-EF signing in these circumstances.
But you know, Amador recently retired despite having a contract for 2025 so perhaps they're making place for Van Gils' late signing not gonna happen.
