They are losing all their mid and mid-upper tier riders (Tronchon, Berthet, Vendrame, Cosnefroy, Godon and Armirail) and basically replacing them with Benoot, Hoole and Kooij train.

Don't think it's a massive upgrade for them.
It really depends on their goals.
Those are great riders for the French pro calendar and the occasional GT stage win.

But that's obviously not going to be their identity going forward.

Indeed, if you want to go forward you need to dare to let riders go. I would keep Armirail for protection detail and guiding the bunch and Tronchon because of his development the last years and also as you want to keep one of year hilly sprinters with Vendrame, Godon and Cosnefroy leaving. But as I read with Godon there are other teams paying more money. Vendrame would be ideal for an Italian team (of there was a WT team that is).

No riders are linked to Lotto and Alpecin yet. Mainly the first has a big challenge ahead to be WT-ready!

It's been rumoured, but now it's official:

Could be why Ineos wanted to make the announcement already?
To tell Maxtin to "Leave the kid alone. We already have a deal with him."
Why would Matxin listen? It didn't stop Ineos themselves from poaching riders out of other teams' development squads, or signing riders who already had signed contracts for the coming year like they did with Sosa, and it seems like the transfer market is a lot more ruthless and cut-throat now than it was a few years ago too.

The name Benjamin Noval no longer being a meme is gonna take some getting used to.
Tour de France 2011. Remember being a big Contador-fan in that period when he joined Saxobank, screaming at my TV when the obviously 5 kg too big Noval was dropped instantly on the TTT!

Masnada on his way to Colpack, like Ganna, Padun, Piccolo and of course

Maybe Visma or ineos will try for Fausto if he gets good results later in the season. If Visma can make Simon Yates win a giro on finestre, they can make Fausto beat pocagar for a lombardia.

Problem is that Fausto has to start being good again and quickly so that they're interested

Am I the only one who doesn't like the fact that the signing of a 16-year rider is being advertised as if he were a first-team star?

There will be many frustrated professionals in the coming years.
These kids are achieving impressive w/k in Junior and thye´ll have no room for improvement, or will have expectations they won't meet.

See ice hockey, tennis, futbol . . . Not sure why it would be different in cycling as professional training regimen are introduced at younger ages. I actually agree with you that it’s not beneficial. It’s just that it’s not surprising.

Flemish media has dropped the name of Biermans while talking about QS, but he himself says that's not true. "Some rumors are true others aren't, I won't be going to QS". He said he talked to them, but also to Lotto, Alpecin and Cofidis. It will be one the three. Highly likely that it's Cofidis as that was the other rumor (Benson).

Interesting that he would choose future Pro Team over those Belgian teams. I guess he wants leadership and Cofidis just pays well to guys of his level.

Australian Matthew Fox has been linked with a move to Lotto. Some out of the box thinking from the team given they have negative money left. He's one of the guys shining on the French amateur scene this year.

I know they've been interested for months, but I don't know if it's signed already. Cofidis and Jayco were also interested.

Well Lotto did fairly well with Australians in the past, if we ignore their last Australian superstar.

Any news on wether or not they're signing Axel Van Der Tuuk? Didn't they show interest in him or his brother last year in the hopes of their father starting to sponsor?
And even if that were the reason the kid is good enough.

No reason to ignore someone who won like 10 GT stages for them.

Don't think Lotto and the father are on good terms since last year so doubt it.
It was his brother btw, who's not even pro worthy.

I reckon I could do a better job at running a team than Heulot, shame tho.
I really hope they find their white rabbit

I have no idea why you concluded that out of them not being on good terms with Bert Van der Tuuk. Thank God they didn't go into bed with him and weren't forced to take in another absolutely useless rider.

If the same deal was on the table for Axel as for Danny I would've taken it in a heartbeat tbf, but if you know more do tell

(I mean really, I'm intrigued to know :) )
