People wonder if Evenepoel and Roglic will get along. I'm more interested in Evenepoel and Vermeersch.

Vermeersch wasn't the most popular in CycloX aswell, I vividly remember him getting an earful by veteran Sven Nys at one point.

Wasn't he also the most vocal one (or even the only one?) voting for the exclusion of Van Aert after a false start at the Belgian Championships CX years ago?

Bora is going all in. Great transfers! Gianni will probably have the opportunity to lead the team in both RVV and PR, something impossible in Alpecin.
With Pithie and Lazkano? Doubt he'll get leadership status. Not saying those other two are much better, but I don't feel Vermeersch is much better than them either.

the interesting thing is that they only got half a team (15) signed for 2026 (do i smell a merger ?), and no new signing so far...

I quote here cause this is where it belongs.

Fortunato, Gate, Malucelli, Kanter, Lopez and Vinokourov have extended or are extending. Kuzmin (probably will cause they need a minimum amount of Kazaks), Velasco, Poels and Charmig not sure yet. Schrettl has signed, Silva is probably coming in and they have been in negotiations with Red Bull for Vlasov for a while now. With Remco coming in there he really wants to leave so it's probably happening.

I did not know about this at all. Perhaps explains some of his performances this year?

I'm also fairly sure he signed a 3-year extension last year?

Without a massive budget, Bahrain have added some decent riders in Segaert, Miquel and Valter. They've beefed up their middle of the pack riders behind their aging leaders and plenty of youngsters signed from CTF Victorious.

If they get Omrzel and Borgo for either 2026 or 2027, that would be solid

Yes just before the first time Astana tried (when they got the XDS money). It's expensive, so it depends on the Chinese.

Velasco was rumoured elsewhere, but not sure if it came to fruition.

On another note, it seems Ayuso to Trek is very likely. Not confirmed but a strong chance.

More surprised about Trek having the money for Ayuso, but they want a potential top gc rider and he wants to be the clear cut leader.

Their thinking seem to be that the more GC leaders you have that have 50/50 chances of underperforming, getting sick or crashing out of GTs, the more likely you are to have one that finishes the race. But just for fun I hope they give him a 10 year contract.

I mean, they threw money at TGH before seeing him race again after a potentially career altering injury...
