The guy has won 5 WT races gets paid like he wins GT's. Off-road is a joke he can win vs that competition but not close most times vs the best where it matters and his checks are written imo.

Extremely overrated up untill now based on results.
You now he gets paid because of his off-road endevaours aswell right? He doesn't earn millions because he won one Tour stage. He earns them because he's a double Olympic champion MTB, he's a former CycloX WC, aswell as 2 more MTB titles.
All of that and some [[content deleted]] on the internet calls you a "overpaid".

No need to name call. Saying Pidcock is overrated shouldnt ruffle any feathers, results speak for themselves.

MTB even he is second tier and cycloX too if the best enters and he dont get paid to win that it dosent get revenue in return as its a mosquito sport in relevance to RR so if you believe that well then go figure. He can earn whatever he wants thats not my point, point is he is overrated based on results thats hard to argue.

How high exactly rated he is in order to be overrated?
He is never the biggest favorite for any of the races he's doing. He is one of the many contenders we mention and he is just that. Noone talks as if he's winning the biggest races.

He may be overpaid based solely on his road results, I agre. But how he is still presented as "the Olympic champion in...who rides for Ineos". I think that weighs more that a lot of results he could bring.

Pidcock can't be overrated, certainly not on this forum, because all I ever read here is how Pidcock is overrated but I never read any actual posts that overrate Pidcock.

He has 2 consecutive seasons with 1000+ PCS points, won AGR, SB, TdF L'Alpe d'Huez stage and got 2nd in LBL behind Evenepoel and all that while not focusing entirely on the road. To be overrated with these results,, someone would have to argue he's equal or better than riders like Pogacar, Evenepoel, Van der Poel etc. which I literally haven't seen anyone doing even once.

I think "overrated" compared to the hype when he signed apparently a multimillion euro per year deal with Ineos. Now, to be fair, most knowledgeable cycling fans didn't believe he'd be the next GT and monument monster wrapped up in a neat little package, but I don't think it's unfair to say he's underperformed on the road, specifically in GTs, which is where 90% of the public's attention is focused. It's great that he's winning MTB medals and championships, but that's not what Ineos is really paying him to do.

I'm gonna delete my own comment right now so the mods don't have to do it again.

I don't know whether staying was ever even on the table, but with Vollering and Labous incoming and the intensified sound of Muzic, there definitely wouldn't be much room for her now.

A move to Canyon SRAM, if it is where she's headed, would have made pretty good sense before this season, but with Kasia's rise this year and her own decline in mind (even if she returns to her best level, she might still have been surpassed by some of the younger riders), I'm no longer as sure. Time will tell.

I always hoped she'd stay though, my two fave riders on the same team :) but I think she would have been a good road captain for Vollering, Labous and Muzic, whilst still offering a plan B in their races and certainly still strong enough to lead without them.

Tbh I don't see what she or CanyonSram gain from joining up, I'd still rank Kasia despite her wins this year, and CUL as pretty equal in terms of outright ability and what they bring to a team.

And why would Kasia demand she was signed as a condition of signing herself ?, CUL is not like some super domestique, she's used to riding as a lead rider in lots of the same races Kasia was also lead rider.

Cille being a part of the extension doesn't really sound that likely to me either, but since both of them were rumoured to SDW earlier in the year, perhaps there is something to it.

If Cille can return to former glory, she is of course a better sprinter than Kasia, so that should at least give the team more options than they've had previously.

Pretty bad sign most of the time when teams do this (it's the same with Lotto, 26 riders only and we all know why). I guess they are on their limit financially. Tbf, they did have some reinforcements with Kron, but I fear their momentum has stopped a bit and getting to WT in 2026 will be very very hard. And then you have to fight off ChinAstana, Tudor and (probably) Arkea for the guaranteed invites...
Ya, they talked earlier in the year about looking for an additional name sponsor and that hasn't happened as of yet at least so that is likely a reason for the constraint.

Sporting wise it could become an issue if they are struck with too many injuries. This year 11 riders have accounted for 55% of their race days so they have a fair few riders who are on around 30-40 race days who will likely need to manage closer to 60 next year. Another issue is that they won't have the Development squad anymore to pull riders up to fill out rosters if needed.
