They clearly dont give a *** anymore if someone has a contract or not ^^
They didn't think that when the same thing happened to them.If there is a transfer fee in his contract and they get good money, why not?

there was an interview with Zimmermann in German press the other day, who said that he didn't need to sign a new contract. His old one remains valid. So unless someone at Lotto decided to give Girmay better conditions (which is unlikely, I guess), it would likely mean that he signs elsewhere indeed.
Zimmermann also said that his main job next year will be to help van Eetvelt, so the current plan seems to be to keep him on board.
There's a Costa Blanca training camp in December, and the team will be presented at the Lotto headquarter on January 15.

They also signed the contract after all three parties agreed and after the transfer fee was fixed.
also some guys are normally off to Australia already at that point. It's not a quote from Zimmermann but just brought up along the lines, so no idea what's the exact source. Is there any way to read this without paying?
The jan 15th presentation would be very late... Also a bit weird cause I would think they have a second training camp at that moment, maybe it's right after.

The article was free to read for me. Didn't notice that it needs a login.

It doesn't make much sense in German either. Not 100% sure, but as this is a local newspaper, I think it's just an explanation about the job of a DS in general, for people that know nothing about cycling. What does the part about Veuchelen mean exactly? Sounds a bit weird with my translate... He's in Intermarchés head trainer (and also Zimmermanns trainer), but the says something like that he's also sportive manager and decides team tactics and selections? While it would be fine if he stays head trainer (Lotto's head trainer was meeh anyways), I'm confused about the other part, that does not seem like a job for a head trainer, and more importantly it seems like Van De Wouwers job (at least the team selections).

Kinda like "the DS is our coach [like in football], who makes the selections etc", to explain why it was important for him that he stays on board.
among sponsor rumors he says a swiss bank or Visit-Rwanda
