Goss will come when Cav is gone. Great rhyme...

Ventoso 67th today. I need him too at stage 9. But i am confident. Way too flat for him today.

I was also put in the world division and I wasn't late. But I don't mind. My class is international.

Here are the stage pick stats for the world division only: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArPqrRgs_XfudFpXMGllZ2hva0FWNU5HR2hEdVE5OXc

They are probably more interesting than the combined stats (for the players in the world division that is). It's up to you whether you put this in the opening post or not Foxy.

Will consider doing the same for you "Europeans" if all of you behave properly. Begging will improve your chances.

Well, you was late in my standards ;) (friday), but sure there was later ones. I started editing from thursday night on...

Looks even better now, after correcting all the misspellings. I´ll put it front page too.

I think it will look better front page if you make it for europe too. And it´s a good comparison... :)

I'm going to wait out the begging and probably end up doing it on Wednesday, because I got to go to Ghent tomorrow and to Brussels on Tuesday.

Also, I was put in the world division from the start :)

This is such an awesome game. All hail Foxy!

Really? May i was thinking i had to less world sign ins that i put you there... or i just wanted to have the toughest competition away from me (just kidding).

Anyway, thanks. I think this year is better because Top-3 riders get awarded too. The standings look interesting already, while last year it took a while.

How about some records?

Cobble owns (unofficial, since he played out of competition the TdF last year, thx to sending late) the stage record with 7.
9 players have two stage wins already. It might be broken...

Points should be easily broken, since 0,5 points are awarded this year too (even though wildcard team riders got double points last year). The record stands at 25 by Hartog in last years giro.

Thanks a lot for this, really interesting to see. One thing though, i don't see pavel brutt listed in the picks? I have him for stage 16?

It´s there. It´s because i wrote PBrutt in the predictions and he used my format. Just scroll right until character "P". There you see that one other player (it´s "Mellow Velo") in world has picked Pavel Brutt as stage 16 winner.

Good to know I have a record. Didn't occur to me that we all scored lower with Tour and Vuelta, though I can see why (crashes at the Tour, Vuelta unexpected results).

But I agree this will likely be bested with the new scoring system.

I liked the fact that I was the only one who picked Kiserlovski for a top20 GC - until I found out that my computer absence the last five days leading up to the giro meant me missing out on him not lining up anyways.... :-(

He's a definite possibility and Astana have no shortage of help for Kreuziger, his climbing ability is better than Seeldrayers too. I just ahd too many names on my list already to include him

Foxxy you need to change information in the first post or at least move some info around from the 2nd post. In the first post it says the divisions get split to 16 for the TDF then in the 2nd post it says 12 each plus 6 wildcards. Conflicting rules :D

Yes i know. I had no time yet to change (i´ll do today). It´s because i originally wanted the tournament to be 64-32-16 (field cut in half each round). Since we have 44 starters now, i posted on saturday it will be 44-30-16 (14 cuts per GT). But the basic concept stays the same.

P.S.: The Qualifiying rules are edited now (converted from the 64-32-16 format to the 44-30-16 format). The Qualifiying rules are explained in post #1 and, for details, in post #3

Unbelievable!!

I must be the biggest Jonah since...well...Jonah.

Can I withdraw my selection on the grounds of rider safety?

You don´t need to withdrawal, the "cut" will do for you. ;)

Anyway, just looked trou your picks. Pretty solid, except that Goss-Disaster-Pick for the final TT. All chances still there...
