Divisions:
I have put everybody from europe who had sent the picks by now in the "Europe-Division". The incoming picks from now on will be put in the "World-Division". Just to let you all know that it´s fair game...

@ macnir

I have sent you a PM, but not sure if it reached you. Have registered your stage picks, but you need to put the Top-20 in order.

@ all

all PM´s received so far are registered. See at Post #1

The official deadline is Saturday, 10.00 CET (9.00 a.m. London-Time, 4.00 a.m. New York)

"Cyclingnews-Time" :)eek:) would be 8.00 a.m.

Because i can´t go online after 11.00 CET, and before i want to link the picks of all players. So that everybody knows where they stand before "the first rider hits the floor".

P.S.: I really don´t like my picks. Had too many guys to leave out. I guess that´s true for all of us (as i can see on some posts and notes in PM´s)... ;)

I'm entirely unconfident of my picks, if any of that remotely works out (especially for the more speculative stages) I'll be ecstatic. ;)

It is verry difficult to predict stages that will happen in two or three weeks. So it is a normal feeling that you are unconfident, I think that everyone is :D So much can happen during that time. But it is only a game, and everybody is in the same situation. The GC looks some way easiyer to predict.

But let's enjoy the game and the race

Sent in my picks.

Not very confident as well, especially on the stages where it's a toss up on breakaway / sprint / kilo effort

We have 44 starters. That means the qualifying needed some adjustments:

30 will go to the TdF

then 16 to the Vuelta

(each round a total of 14 players will miss the "cut")

-------------------

That means for the Giro; the 12 best from each division advance directly + 6 best "wildcards" (for explanation details see Post #1)

-------------------

from last years Final-8, the following "magnificent seven" ;) have signed in to try to repeat:
Mortand
Hartog
Boomcie
Amateur
Sylvester
Foxxy
Sasquatch

Nice job Foxxy. Who was it last year that put all the picks in a spreadsheet to see what was most popular?

Picking Bennati for the stage was a mistake. Thomas or Phinney would've totally been a safer bet.

Look on the bright side. Courtesy of my hapless attempts to use a spreadsheet to swap riders around, I've ended up with Goss as my pick to win the final TT!!!!

I'll slowly get to work on the stats. I hope the stages will be ready by Monday. Busy week and lots of participants this time...

I don't really get the division stuff. Should I mix up the stats or keep them separated?

No separation then. Wow I'm fast:

Stage pick cross tabs

It's easy. Yellow means few picks for a rider on a stage (1-3), brown means more picks (4-6), red means a lot of picks (7+). Bold and large font means most picks for the stage.

Example: for prologue, 20 people picked Phinney (red, bold and big font). 17 picked Thomas (red). A couple picked Kwiatkowski and Benatti and 3 picked Rasmussen (yellow).

Enjoy fellas.
