It all depends on those who said yes, but then didn´t log in for the most important days before the Giro. Thus, BTW, the 48 hrs deadline is important (also for late team changes, pick corrections, editing picks into google.docs, calling up replacements who also don´t log in, etc.)... IOW: It´s a hell lot to do in the last two days.

Well, too little too late I'd say. I just read a few interviews from riders whose goal is completely different than what I thought it would be and on which I based my predictions on. So if I could, I would make a few changes, but a deadline is a deadline :)

There is the advantage for those who qualified to have time to make well thought picks, and then the disadvantage of missing very late infos.
The advantage for late call ups/replacements is getting those very late infos, but their picks will be rushed in a hurry. So I think it evens out Flamin...

I have been invited to participate by Foxxy. To make clear how rushed by team is, there went 52 minutes from having read his message to all my picks were sent. I think that is fairly quick.

Anyway, since I haven't been part of this from the beginning and my team has been done past the deadline, I have asked Foxxy that my team can't advance further, so it won't take a spot away from someone else who has been playing since the Tour last year.

Besides all the disadvantages Netserk listed ("52-mins-rushed-pick"; which is true btw), i quote rule...

3. a) If a player stops the game (due illness, holidays, or other reasons), even though qualified for the next round, he can name me a willing replacement player (a friend for example) who will take his spot during his hiatus, or for the reminder of the tournament.
Such a replacement player will start his first GT with one "inherited" point less than the lowest ranked player left in the tournament, independent of the inherited points the player who stopped the game would have taken to that given GT.

Now technically nobody of the "game stoppers" named Netserk as replacement, but the effect is the same: Netserk, and Fauneria (who also was invited late by me with a super rushed pick as replacement) start the game with the least inherited points. A big disadvantage since ya all know every point counts.

So both of them will be full participants with the same chance to advance as everybody else, since they have to win against all odds.

Further: It´s not the mistake of Netserk & Fauneria to get called late, when even agreed call ups didn´t log in, and thus forgot to send their picks.

Fair to all? I think yes :)

Thanks Jspear :)

Now I am busy to finalize google.docs, look trou corrections, etc...
After that we have the supplemental draw to get the replacement players and call ups to the divisions.
Since I am not the only one who fell in love with those draws :D , here is the time:
Approx. at 19.00 GMT/UTC ("cycnews time") live and coloured, right here!

After that, I will open google.docs at night (with all picks of everybody)...

Once more: A big cheers, good luck and fun to all. Let the Giro begin. :)

Amazing work again foxxy, you deserve a line in my next signature :)

Of course I agree on netserk and fauniera, they are magnificent additions to this game and it will be good if they can participate thru next rounds (as their disadvantage is huge enough imo)

I wont be online on additional draw, pity cuz its always a great fun :D

Re:

Thanks a lot :)

Too bad you can´t follow the draw. That will drop the viewing figures by an estimated 30% I guess. ;)

The supplemental draw will start in a few minutes.

"Game stoppers" that thus dropped out:
From A; asdfg
From B; Afrank
From C; 18-Valve & Oliveira
From D; Byop & Movingtarget

Replacement & Call-up Players to be drawn:
Eshnar, Fauniera, Minessa, Netserk, Pantani, Sasquatch...

Certainly Sasquatch the guy to prevent with having good past results and coming with the most inherited points.
Interseting to see where Netserk goes. A true Forum verteran.

Prodecedure:
Each step I will draw the group (thus once A and B; twice C and D), then the player
