Especially sorry for Netserk with him having a real chance for a monster comeback in the last two stages. Blame the sprinter teams. They messed it up for a 2nd time. I never would have thought to say this: But now I do; Better sprinter teams for the TdF please.

OK guys, now all have a look at my wonderful coloured provisionals of stage 20. That is also the Un-Official final Standings.
It was an exciting race, but in the end it fell down a bit. Would have been nice to see Landa take 2nd in stage 20 again, and today having a real sprint. Everything would have gone upside down again.

Congrats to those qualified, sorry for those who didn´t (but never give up, there still is the call-up chance).

Now heading to the TdF. After the race is before the race. Only one month to do the work of picking the right guys (again).

Thanks, Foxxy, for organizing this game. Congratulations to the winners, commiserations to the people with a bad result. There is a lot of luck involved, especially because everyone here knows his cycling.

I thought people with Betancur in their top 20 would look foolish at the end of the Giro, but it turns out I look more foolish with Basso.

Notes to self:
1. Never again put Ivan Basso in a GC top 20. He's a has-been.
2. Matthews is a sprinter. Don't give him stages in the middle mountains.
3. Stick with your initial thought. Throwing out those three stage wins for Gilbert was a bad idea.

Ha Pantani (& thanks ofc ), I did the same mistake with Gilbert. Really thought he´ll do nothing.
Betancur was looking bad in the beginning, but as soon Pozzo was injured, I posted that people with him look brilliant now. But in the end he still juuust survived the T-20.

50% luck I would say. That is why it is so important to get the down half of the T-20 in good "shape". And the first week stages when everybody is still healthy and in the race...
Every tiny bit of pre-race Infos help. At least it did for me for the last couple of GTs (don´t have my older lists for the GGTG T-20 evaluations anymore).

God, you are screwed a lot by the Italians lately. First Aru spoiled most for you, and then the inconsequent nitpickers do the rest (remember they were very hard on Porte and the 3.1 km crashers). What a pity.

Oh dear, we have to do all this picking riders stuff again?

On a serious note, I'm happy to be through to Le Tour, especially as it was a new experience for me to feel relatively safe for more than two stages. I'm usually just scraping through at the last moment. Although, this may be a disadvantage - I need the tension!

I understand. I am split here. On one hand I like it safe & relaxed, but on the other I like the thrill like it was having juust qualified with Kittel winning the final stage of LeTour.
