thanks Foxxy. No time to waste, gonna start working on my Giro Top 20 tomorrow

Always too feel the same. To do picks early, only to end uo doing it late in a hurry with night shifts. ;)

Nice work Foxxy. Good use of the hot balls to keep the 10 pointers away from me.

Thanks and LOL. :)

Group B will be hard for me with 7.5 inherited points
However after exams I will have 4 months of holidays to pick the ultimate dream team, so be afraid

... we´ll see. As said to search, in the end we all do it in a hurry (more or less) :D

Once again, thanks for the draw foxxy

I like that, hardcore lineballing. :D Hope I can stay away from it and instead fight for the division championship again...

Oh man i am pumped for the Giro.

Gutted missed out on the live draw though, i mean its on par with the world cup draw isnt it?!?

Got my work cut out for me in the Giro though being drawn in Coppi with the barnstorming Hugo & Valve leading the way...

May need to give the stage victories in the latter stages a good hard think as in the Vuelta started very very well, then for some reason i assumed that a lot of breakaways would be going to the end so just started picking randoms. Only Niemec came close to being in the right breakaway but alas was never going to make it!

Also need to think a bit harder about the top 20. Mine was simply rubbish. I mean Cadel, Betancur & Chaves to name three... i mean cmon man. Too old, too fat & too early.

Anyway super pumped for next year as i will be going to France (Annecy & Provence) and Italy (Florence) for a month so will be keen to ride some of the big big mountains for real. Alas i will be going in June so no Giro or Tour... going for a wedding so no chance of going at the 'right' times.

Oh well, big ups for Foxxy once again, loving the fact i have got this far!

Yeehah.

Yeah, it´s on par with the World Cup draw, only we have just a little less viewership. ;)
Betancur was a bad choice that was preventable by just looking at pics leading up to the race. OTOH, I almost missed that too. Just found out about it "in the last second".
Chaves and Evans, I wouldn´t call failure. Evans was a 50/50 after his strong pre Vuelta performances. I thought he has another good GT left...
I only stayed away from Chaves, because I realized Quintana "breaking" in his first GT (ending up somewhere in the 30s on final CG). So in the end this non-call by me worked out great. Hope to pull such a trick again in the Giro since every point (IOW non-wasted pick) counts big time in this game...
Otherwise hope you find enough time for qualitative picks when you travel.

As said for that the thread stays neat, I deleted (most of) the single posts of the draw. But the best one-liners are saved anyway for future generations to remember ;) ,since they were quoted by some of you guys...
Now we are heading into the off-season, much time to forget the GGTG. Thus I´ll send a reminder to all of you next spring, so that enough time is left for the Giro-preperation. :D

A good vid I can´t watch. ;) We are in Germany where GEMA and other ****-suckers rule.

;)

Wow didn't know they could pull those kind of lobbyist "stunts" in Germany, hopefully his portuguese partners doesn't remember to pull it of here.

Is there anyway we can do some late season transfers?
There are several trades that I could make. For instance I could give you Flamin for Tigerion....could we work out a deal? :p :)

This is the problem with being the lowest ranked in a division. You are just seen as trade fodder.

I know we might be from down under but that doesn't have to flow through to the leaderboard. Look at it this way, the only way is up for us now

Surprised, amazed and thrilled that I am still in the competition - a lot of luck. My last two entries were last minute messes. I will do proper research for the Giro and enter a top team - and probably fail

Many thanks for a great game foxxxy

The Giro is nearing and I see major problems looming...

1.) You guys need to get a new-password to log-in (only possible to get via your original e-mail account it seems)... I guess some guys have forgotten the mail they used when originally signing in (for some it´s almost 6 years ago)...
2.) Why oh why can´t people leave things like they are? My intro posts & stats+standings posts looked beautiful and coloured, the links (to the standings) were easy to click on (at least the links to the google.doc-standings still work, even though looking ugly now), everything was easy to find... Now it´s looking bad, being linked to the old editions are going to nowhere ("404 Not Found"). Everything went from coloured to black-and-white. Arrggg...

Anyway: The show must go on, no matter what.
I will send you a PM within the next month to remind you of the Giro predictions. Hope ya all get logged-in in time. In case it´s not possible for all those who qualified:
To the players that dropped out earlier; Get yourself ready. A high chance to get back in as replacements...

Good luck everybody!

Important note:
All those still in the game, but without a new password to log-in;
Please send me a PM with your new User-Name, if/when you made a new account.
Thanks in advance!

For example it affected "Wallenquist" who now is going as "W4llenquist" as far as I understand it... I guess more are affected...
Yes I will edit the OP and standings before the Giro. A big thanks to cyclingnews to give me a great load of extra work. Very happy...
And ofc, me too, I have no idea about the Giro picks yet. Not a tiny bit, except the usual "suspects" like Contador... :D

The Giro is knocking on the door. Who would have thought? ;)
The deadline for sending picks will be Thursday, May 7th. Thus in just two weeks.

The front page is updated. It is in full colours and readable again. All links work. I also updated the two previous editions of TGGTG. :)
