It's only provisional.
So much will change for all of us. Really hoping I can get plenty more stage points. Greipel for the win tomorrow. He said he wants a stage win. IMO tomorrow is his best shot.

Which teams do you think will chase? Tinkoff won't bother. Sky won't bother. Jumbo is a joke. Lotto probably, but I doubt they can do it themselves. Then there's Trek, Lampre and Giant, but I could very well see them hesitate about the chasing. We'll see.

Still if you think Jumbo is a joke, if they would throw in two or three riders to chase it would make a difference. But I don't wink they will chase. Lotto-Soudal will definitely help, as will Giant. Lampre probably as well, who knows Southend. And there are always teams who suddenly think they have a good chance in a sprint and waste some resources in the chase.

Anyway, we will know after tomorrow

Until the crash of Pelucchi, I thought IAM (I mean what else shall they do in the Giro ) ... but now they just carry him trou stages (to prevent OOTL). What a great steal this pick could have been.

Lotto, Lampre, Giant... indeed. And the break away will be weak. Except a few Italian teams, I don't think many guys will bother trying, and rightly so.

Im pretty sure teams like Jumbo and Lotto will chase for a sprint, maybe even Trek, Lampre and Orica too. Went for Matthews but now wish id chosen Viviani.

Now I wish I had Greipel. Funny thing is I picked him only twice in case he crashes (in remberance of the Cav crash that cost many of us three stages... when was it? 2012?)... and then the one I picked as insurance did. That´s the up and downs making the game interesting... even flat stages.

Very interesting is that nobody has got Modolo, he is my pick for today (unfortunately I have Greipel).
I just hope Viviani doesnt win this as Vinoattacks and GTF would be lot closer to the top

How comes Modolo is your pick when you have Greipel? Be confident. I would be in mine if Pelucchi wasn´t crashing... I don´t see anybody beating Greipel today unless he gets dropped in the middle part of the stage, or tests the wind 1 km before the finish line like last Sunday... I wouldn´t call 3 people having Modolo "lots" (see my post at the start of this page)

Trek, OGE, Giant, Lotto, Jumbo, Lampre will all chase. What is the point of having Matthews, Nizzolo, Mezgec, Modolo, Greipel and Hofland,riding if you dont' want to set them up for a stage win?

Any flat stage and there is going to be a sprint. There's too many teams with sprinters that they think can win a stage.

True... as I said 99% sprint. I give 1% for the break since there is a bump in the road in the middle of the stage where some sprinters may get lost and thus teams see no reason to chase...
