Re:

Ok, Front Page is fully updated! Google.docs Pre-Standings are out. The TdF can start, there is just a little bump in the road before (like evaluating the right 20 CG guys, and going trou all stage profiles to pick riders that can win the given stages)...

Hmmm...I'm in a tougher position this time around. Be afraid...I ain't goin anywhere. :p

That one will be tough. Looks even harder when looking at the sorted Pre-Standings in google.docs

Gonna be a tough one this time around. Already in last position :(

Congrats first for making the next round. You´ll find a way out of the cellar... (or not ;) )

Ahhh back to the familiar setting of division Coppi :D

... the one that almost got a 5-way tie for the division win. Good luck this time to come out on top.

Could be that our divisons guys below the line would battle for the title in the other divisions. Will be intense. Need to cut down on mistakes like I did with Porte.

I can't allow that!

I just came to think about it that I'm on a 10-day holiday (probably without internet access) and I won't be back until 1 or maybe 2 days (late in the evening in that case) before the start of the Tour.

That doesn't look very good so it will all be about surviving I guess :p

How about doing the picks as early as possible? (Like now :) )... Then I check (once the full teams are out) if all your named riders are going to the Tour. So in this last 1/2 days before the start you only have to replace the riders not riding.

Welcome back everybody. Yes, it´s time again for another elimination round. :)

The deadline for sending picks will be Thursday, July 2nd, 2015, 12.00 UTC ("Cycnews-Time"). Yes only 11 days. I am shocked myself now. I thought I had more time.

If you Flamin (or any other player) is in holidays too, ofc I will prolong the deadline a day or so. But please inform me early (either per PM, or with a post in this thread), so that I can plan ahead. Thanks a lot in advance.

I'm well into holiday mode... Switched winter in Australia for summer in France and Italy... Three weeks in and two to go...

Wanted to immerse myself fully in the European way before heading to the next round...

I was bitterly disappointed however that the way this holiday transpired was that I left during the third to last stage of the Giro missing that and the penultimate stage and then for the trip home I arrive when the tour starts.

Was pretty keen to see a European race in the flesh as all I have seen is the tour down under (which I think is still fun from a spectator point of view staying in Adelaide and riding to a point in each stage for the race) and the Aussie champs... So yeah, in the grand scheme of things perhaps I can do better...

At least I have got my trusty steed with me... Managed to get up the col de la columbiere (easy side I believe). Only climbed 1100 metres higher than my previous highest point... Anyway the riding around Annecy and the Provence region is pretty bloody beautiful. Couldn't quite stretch taking the bike to Florence ( it's hard enough with an infant let alone a bike too) but my oh my, might have to hire one for a few days!

Anyway. All I wanted to say is that I'm on holiday and its awesome. I'm thinking my tips will definitely suffer though.

Can't wait for the tour... If the top contenders stay healthy we may get racing as exciting as the Giro!

Ok Flamin is noted.
Digger, you need more time until Friday? Just let me know if so... Enjoy the ongoing holidays. Didn´t know you are from Australia. Are you a AFL fan? If so, who you cheer for, and it would be great to see you in the AFL thread from time to time.

:)

10 days

Im looking forward how many people will not include one of the big 4 favourites to their TOP 5 tip

I don't give a rat's ass about the Big Four. It's the other 16 I'm worried about!

I currently have 7 certainties, 7 almost-certainties and 17 not-certain-at-alltenties for the remaining 6 places.
