it looks like beta is back to the bad habits when he was with acqua and sapone: he used to show up to back to races in very bad shape and overweight.
the same thing happened last year when he come back to europe for the vuelta: he was underprepared and then got sick.

his work ethic is very questionable . if he trains properly he is one of the best of the world but he has a tendency to put on weight .
talent and skills are not enough if they are not accompanied by application and will.
duarte is the best example for that : great class but very bad attitude . beta run the risk of following the same path.

It does not look well for Betancur. Sometimes the races are won during winter. I have heard riders say that. By the time they get to the appropiate weight and form it could be too late for the year. I hope not.

He is scheduled to ride in Europe as soon as the GP Marseillaise. In Europe Bartoli can probably watch him closer.
