Looks like Quintana stepped up. Don't think gaps are big (GC). We have a race on.

Well done Darwin as well.

Quintana had to attack from far, as Evans yesterday, to have option to win this race.. he is a natural prodigy and this is not a surprise.

It will be interesting his performance tomorrow in the ITT to see how good is he really in this matter. Maybe depends on the wind, but anyway is quite flat. I think he will lose some time in the GC, but the leader is more a climber than a trialist, so we will see.

Did the other GC-guys had a coup of tea moment? Quintana is the best climber, but 3 minutes? That's not normal.

It seems as though they are the only ones who really care about it :D
Maybe he was trying to take it easy and just follow wheels but he is so talented that he found himself up front, so maybe he said to himself "what the hec, let's go for it (en boyaco por supuesto)". Reports say that he is even overweight and recuperating from stomach bug. We are seeing one of the most natural talents in a very long time. No matter what season it is, he always has it!!!

We are dealing with 2nd tier climbers in form and the rest are on vacation. Thats why it was important for the "locals" to step up.

El Amago is an irregular climb, at the harpings the gradient pitch more than 15%, plus the surface is cement, kinda like bola del mundo. Ideal for lightweights like Nairo.
