The "I'm not watching it" thread

In the Il Lombardi thread somebody announced he wasn't going to watch the race. Presumably because it would be too boring with Pogacar winning easily.

Somebody else called him out, asking why anybody would bother to announce they weren't watching something and why would anyone care to know.

Others started defending the "I'm not watching" poster. I guess they found value in knowing somebody wasn't watching.

So we need a place, a safe place, where we can all declare what we are not watching.

I will be the brave one and go first:

I'm not watching UEFA Nations League. I shouldn't even have to explain why.

I'm not watching NHL. It's not part of my cable subscription.

I prefer not to watch any pre/post race/match chat . If I mistime race start and find myself confronted by The Breakaway I am likely to kick the hypothetical cat .

Football half time is filled with zen like meditation to save that cat.

I like the stuff on TV2.

Otoh, I generally don't watch:

Route presentation. I don't see why they have to be such a big show when they could just as easily be a press release. Besides, the only people who need to know months in advance are:
1. The people directly involved with the race.
2. The people living in the area.

Team presentations. Too much "[Local Town] Got Talent", too little... well... team presentation. When some of the teams don't even get two minutes on stage because there has to be time in the schedule for - yet another - random performance act, it gets a little pointless.

I refuse to watch my least favourite riders win! it's gonna be a tough year in Women's CX if Lucinda Brand continues to dominate, whenever she's clear ahead the dummy will be out and I will switch off 'til the Men's race.
