Seriously, I have to say that taking people's appearance as eveidence of doping is clutching at straws big time.

A below the belt post. This unfortunate girl is clearly a 'non combatant'.

'Non combatant' - love it...

It is a bit mean spirited making fun of people's looks...

I do see the correlation for athletes suspected of doping though...
but wasn't this topic being covered in the 'contador's face' thread already if someone feels like tracking down that one....?

My fault - it was the Olympic swimmers who were on topic.

lantern jaw n.
1. A lower jaw that protrudes beyond the upper jaw.
2. A long, thin jaw that gives the face a gaunt appearance.

. Lantern jaw; large hands and feet (acromegaly in an adult)________GROWTH HORMONE
2. Bulging eyeballs, nervous, increased pulse, weight loss, graves disease___________ THYROXIN
3. demineralization of bones, spontaneous fractures___________PARATHYROID HORMONE
4. Cushings syndrome-moon face, depression of the immune system__________CORTISOL
5. Abnormally large stature, normal body proportions__________ GROWTH HORMONE
6. Abnormal hairiness, masculinization________TESTOSTERONE

I thought of Michael Phelps when I saw the Lantern Jaw terminology.

Other examples would be good to see.
hgh gets the pituitary onto the spectrum of acromegaly.

See any James Bond villain(s). They all have the endogenous (natural) acromegaly. Many die early because of their genetic pituitary gland disorder.

Not just the jaw. Can be seen in the frontal bossing of the brow, and a very sharp brow ridge. When the brow starts protruding (frontal bossing), it can start to replicate a low level, minor simian brow. But this is the CHANGE, not the natural bone structure. Some have natural bone structure with a genetic brow, which is a simian brow structure. Endogenous. Natural.

This is about the change.

If we can keep this thread serious (as much as possible) then thus will be the thread of the Olympics and we can send it to friends, and then they might look at other threads in the clinic

mods, I don't believe in censorship, but can you help keep thus thread tight?

I don't want to disparage a persons natural features, but hmm, swimming . No seal suits, AND they are doing world records, and, for the first time ever really, we now have giants out there, AND they have these massive jaws.

my 14yr old son swims, and he has an ovebite. Braces didn't work, we don't want to break and reset his jaw, would he even know.if we put him on HGH?

I highly doubt the Chinese girl would have a clue

i'd say he'd start to get suss after one or two gold medals

but with my example, do you really think so?

I wonder how many of these 6ft 4 kids with size 17 feet and big Milton the monster jaws, would have any idea what they were on when they were 12, 13 or 14.

For the chemists here, can I ask what long term damage these kids.might experience later in life?

personally. i think, if u win a gold swim medal in an.individual event, you are suspect.

if you are even close to one of those wetsuit world records, you 100% aren't a purely natural product
