Yeah, I think he timed his attack for the final 500 m... only to find out that they were downhill.

Saying he didn't try hard enough is stupid, he attacked from 6 k out. But it's a deserved win for ole Cadel.

They kept on dangling within sight of the leaders for a long time and he was content to sit behind Anacona despite being the fastest sprinter of the group.
