Ok, we had this thread last year and so I decided to bring it back for this year. Last year Euskaltel won this highly covoted competition and they're strong favorites to defend their title again. Who do you think will be the Lantarne Rouge of the WT peloton?

I know I left out BMC and Liquigas, but I had to make choices because you can only pick 10 options in a poll :p

Should've waited until there were only 10 WT teams without a win.... ;)

I'll go for Astana.

They have really boosted their roster this year and their some of their existing riders should come through and stop underperfoming
to think that one of bozic, gavazzi, guarneri, vino, kiselovski, tiralongo, masciarelli, zeits, silin, ponzi, gasparotto, iglinsky or brajkovik will not get a win is difficult
I would have to say euskaltel unless sanchez gets in on the act early they've got no one (as koldo and castrovejeo has gone) to even put up a fight

Exactly, look at the Astana team and no-one stands out as a "winner" (except Vino and no-one knows how he'll have recovered from the Tour last year).

Euskaltel are very much in the same boat - but they do have Sammy Sanchez, Anton, Astarloza and Nieve at least.

The only race astarloza ever won has already passed us:p. ( save his tdf victory strip). EE has nothing they can win till Paris nice, unless they get lucky in mallorca.

Voted for Vacansoleil, just because I hope the carrots will peak up a surprising early victory somewhere

Vacansoleil usually win a lot of these small races, so doubtful.

Yeah, but I figured it wouldn't be a french team or lampre. Definitely not radioschleck or sky, and I like the two most obvious choices....

And when I see a poll, I can't just walk by without voting in it, so Vacansoleil it is.....

I picked AG2R because I like Euskaltel too much.

AG2R will probably get some win in a small crappy French race, before Euskaltel will get anything :(

I voted Sky. Cav won't get them any wins any time soon because he's too fat and nor do I believe any other sky rider will win.

Honestly? You reviewed a list including Ag2r-La Mondiale, Astana, Euskaltel-Euskadi and FDJ-BigMat and concluded Sky would be last to win a race. Odd.
