Perfect for winning 10 green jerseys in the Tour as well.
But first he has to win one.
But first he has to win one.
Indeed. But we still wonder how Sagan never won it.
He is 20. Pogacar will not be relevant in 5 yearsOnly if he can follow Pogačar on Cipressa.
NoSo, here's a bandwagon to jump on, is Brennan the new Cav?
Not so fast there! 2027 is Tour year in the UK so I'll have a bob or two on someone revving up that bandwagon soon.
The general view so far from Visma has been that he is not an out and out world class flat course sprinter. May be he is, but he is more versatile than Cav.So, here's a bandwagon to jump on, is Brennan the new Cav?
I'd imagine he'll get Giro leadership. Jonas will be the boss for the Tour, that will be the focus again so can't see him doing the Giro as well, and he'll probs want an option for La Vuelta.Beating Milan twice in the Deutschland Tour and already 11 pro wins this season
At this point Visma should start thinking about sending Brennan to the Tour next year, even though it will probably be either the Giro or the Vuelta because of Vingegaard.
I think you need to be very careful in terms of racing him too hard too young if you let him do the opening weekend. No harm in letting him use the early season to build up and then start his classics schedule at Sanremo.Wonder what the plan with him is for next year. If I was the Director of Visma I would include that guy for most races between Omloop and Roubaix.
Would skip Strade and probably E3 and Flanders but other than that I would make have him join every race. Could be a very good addition besides Wout for those classics.

Yeah if you want him to make his debut at the Giro a lighter program in the spring would make sense.I think you need to be very careful in terms of racing him too hard too young if you let him do the opening weekend. This applies even more strongly if you let him do his GT debut at the Giro. Given that the WC is probably too hard for him, you could also pick the Vuelta, but that might be too easy for him by that point. Don't love the idea of him domestiquing at the Tour at this stage in his career.
Yes.A full classics season and a Vuelta seems more likely to me
Magnier and Merlier takes more opportunities from him than Van Aert does.I think he should leave Visma sooner than later. Soudal seems an obvious choice to me.
Not just WVA but also Vingegaard. Soudal will be a classics team again and will stage hunting stages in GTs. Magnier is not on his level IMO. Merlier is 34 next year.Magnier and Merlier takes more opportunities from him than Van Aert does.
