Well what'ya now. MvdP is actually tired and thinking of skipping altitude camp for a stay at home in an altitude tent instead. I think it's wise, another trip abroad could lead to simple exhaustion...

Though not as good as the women's team. Still trying to figure out why they didn't incude Wiebes. Too many chefs, maybe?Ass whooping team NL is bringing to Yorkshire for him.
Terpstra, Van Baarle, Langeveld, Mollema, Teunissen, van Emden and Weening.
He also won't ride the Olympic Road Race next year. Can't remember where i read it.

Good predictionI hope he manages to grab a win in the Tour of Britain. Today he has a good chance
Sam Bennett into Oviedo the other day, tbf.I've just seen his finish at the ToB today, I don't think I've ever seen a finish like that before, he's on another level!!
Yeah agreed on Bennett and Sagan. Sagan's first tdf wins were similar to this.Sam Bennett into Oviedo the other day, tbf.
But yeah, vdPoel is on another level all round. Not since Sagan has a rider had so much impact over (almost) all terrains.
No disrespect to Mathieu, but you haven't seen too much cycling i'm guessing then.I've just seen his finish at the ToB today, I don't think I've ever seen a finish like that before, he's on another level!!
I've been thinking like that too. And it makes me wonder if that awesome punch-sprint power tends to dissipate over the years once you rack up GT's, try to develop to win cobbled monuments etc. Because Sagan just doesn't win like that anymore.Yeah agreed on Bennett and Sagan. I think it's also, at least in part, that Sagan can't move coming up to a finish like that without every other rider/team watching him for the final 5km. vdP is still new enough to the peloton that nobody knows how to cover him yet, so he can throw in a move like that and nobody's ready for it.
