All hail Bauke, for he is The Immutable, The Infinite, The Everlasting, and The Bringer of Victory.

the almighty question: Can he Time Trial well, or is he another Schleck alike?

He is okay. I can see him finishing at least top-30 tomorrow.

Edit: closer to 15 than 30

Not sure if it makes him Schleck alike.

I don't envisage him still having it after the ITT. Nibali would take it off him, Fuglsang might take it off Nibali and Wiggins might take it off Fuglsang.

Nice ride however on the climb.

Mollema is inconsistent in time trials.
He has done really great ones, limiting the damage well. But also some really poor ones.
It's hard to tell. In this form I see him doing a top 20 at least. But you never know. In suisse he had great form as well but a dissapointing ITT, not up to the level of ITT he did in Paris Nice (top 15)

It was good to listen to Bauke speak English in an interview for the first time on TV. Sounda like Gesink. Told the interviewer that he was annoyed he didn't get the stage. If he didn't wait for the sprint and went from 40km to go he may have had a better shot :D

Groan, do you understand sarcasm Dekker Tifosi?

I know he said that. Was just having some fun with the TGBM act

His royal Baukeness has suprised even the biggest of fans today with his awesome 2nd place in the Pais Vasco ITT and resulting podium in the GC.

He has never been good in april before and it could be a nice month for him if he continues like this in the classics :)

He wasn't that bad last year, 9th in Paris-Nice and Catalonia, and second in Castilla y Leon. He completely sucked in the classics though. We'll see, he can do well, but I'm not counting on it. I expected a lot more from Wout Poels this spring, but he has never seemed really great so far.

Technical time trials in the rain with steep ramps, he's found his niche. When's the next one?:)

this niche is even narrower. part of the course necessarily should have 2 meter wide road and turns every 100 meters + many other contenders should take a lesser risk.

When will Andy Schleck find his niche? Time trials that don't involve time trialing?

i don't belittle mollema's perfomance absolutely. great riding. i think andy doesn't need an abstract niche, he's got the results. :)

let's discuss only mollema in this thread, buddies, otherwise the hitch will read his lection with forum rules again.

i will if you accuse Mollema of doping and then start talking about Contador doping. Which is what you did in the other thread.

Really? What has he accomplished last year and so far this season?

I wish he could do the Giro instead of the TDF. Actually i wish that for all the 3 Rabo lanky young Dutch Climbers. It would be like Mapei but in the Giro.
