It would be interesting to compare the amount of money Armstrong has raised for charity over the years with other top athletes. He would be right up there.

How so?

Lol even without being a particilar fan of the man, I can only shake my head at the stupidity and to be honest, nastiness of this post.

It amazes me how some posters are banned for reasonably well argued points of view yet you keep coming up with this sort of trash comment with no sanction at all.

And why or why would I be banned for calling LA fat and loser? I did not call Flicker anything negative whatsoever.

Actually, it's not such a stupid post. He's a fatty. And he acts like a loser.

I'm sorry you found it nasty. I suggest a sip of some chamomile tea.

What are the stats of Gibraltar climb since you seem to have some knowledge of the area. He was riding that one too I believe.

However, do you still believe he is not going to ride the big climbs before the Tour? With all the time you've spent dogging his lack of altitude riding this far and such I really hope he rides well in the Tour just to prove you wrong. For the record, I am of the mind he knows a hell of a lot more than you about he needs to be prep to be as competitive as possible.

Gibraltar is 4100 feet on top but the real part of the climb is about 3000 feet of vertical. It is a good place to train and 3500 meters of vertical is a solid day.

Armstrong is sandbagging. He will be fine come July.

Will Armstrong arrive at the tour start in the best possible form that a man of his age, economic situation, and flagging enthusiasm possibly can? Yes!
Add to that his absolute state of the art preparation.;) and he will be hard to beat come July.
Will he get beat? Oh hell yes, like an old drum!

I do not think Armstrong is heavy. One thing that happens when you get older is your skin starts to sag. You can see it clearly on Armstrong arms and on his stomach. It does not appear that he is carrying extra weight, he just looks soft.

I expect him to do very well in the Tour. The course suits him as his climbing is doing well while his TT skills have suffered.

You really got to wonder what the long term damage he is doing to his body. He has been putting Nitrous into the Chevy for decades, wheels got to come off someday.

Actually I prefer english breakfast. And ok if a guy with probably 6% bodyfat is a fatty so be it.

It was a stupid post because you posted in response to another poster who was speaking about Armstrongs riding position. Your learned response was that 'hes a fat f***ing loser'

Like I said, nasty and stupid and I'll add unnecessary given it was totally off the topic you were responding to.

ROTF ... learned response ... LOL :p

Dude, this is the LA Thread, so it was not off topic :D Besides which, it was more a poke at the Flickster. I don't get all "hate crazy", but I do like my colourful language.

It seems like I may have upset someone's delicate sensibilities.

Eeeuw, you're sayin' he's got granny arms? I'd rather be called fat.

Really? could you share with us when this happened or are you making this up?

No I am not making it up, It's just something I notice browsing the threads. Of course I dont see every post people put up so the banned person may have said something offensive to warrant it. I found the recent Ullrich thread amusing in how Ulle fans got quite put out when someone dared to criticise their hero. One of the detractors was subsequently banned and the thread shut down yet other threads just seem to be open season on anyone.

Actually he was most likely banned for more or less telling Susan to p1ss off.

But hey, don't let it ruin your "argument"

Hmm so anyone who calls someone for unacceptable comments is a troll. I suppose that anyone who agrees with your point of view is therefore knowlegable and informed? In your view of course.

Sad that people cannot appear to have a contrary point of view to the wolfpack on here without instantaneously being labelled a troll, whatever that means.

Edit: Sorry, I was discussing a troll.

Although there's not much point in the LA thread, at least until ToC. It just attracts people who are already banned to come back and talk rubbish.

Let us know when you can show us that this actually happened. It sounds more like an invented persecution complex.

Sanjay Gupta all dressed in livestrong wear...

On cnn, how to train for a triathlon - Armstrong is there to encourage them and get them on a mean lean training regime!

right now, will probably be rerun every 20m, because on CNN they don't have any news to cover anyway.

How did the 'wing' at the Flinders Medical Centre in South Australia "benefit pretty well from his comeback"?
They haven't even started building it yet!

As part of Lances healthy appearance fee for riding the TDU, Lance and Premier Mike Rann 'broke ground' at the 'Centre' - construction is not scheduled until later this year.

'Livestrong' did not 'donate' to the project - it was a publicity opportunity for Mike Rann and the only association with 'Livestrong' is

I am surethese people who are involved in trying to get funding for the 'LIVESTRONG Cancer Research Centre' would have preferred if the $2 million Lance got last year - and probably again this year - went to directly funding the building of the wing, rather than have a sports personality dig a hole in the ground.

Well the thing is, it was your opinion that it was unacceptable, not a fact. I did not attack a poster, I used colourful language when talking about Armstrong. In an Armstrong thread, this hardly something shocking. Perhaps there are other reasons why it has upset you so :)
