No... but there is an "M" and an "E".

No, not quite. There is "ME" and then there is "SLAVES".

It´s obvious why Uniballer trains alone. Have you ever seen the cruel king eating with his slaves?

As when not shaping up to Contadors victory fiest last year. The 2009 never crowned King Lord Pharmstrong angry when the supposed-to-slave Contador ripped "his" yellow bracelet in front of him.

Lance has let out his loyal servants to corrupt the world with his and their lies!

Why is Conti speaking so highly of Lance and Johan now? It is sickening!

It is all PR, spin and bling by Lord Phamstrong and Bruyneel. Done to throw our nemesis Alberto off guard. We are lulling Alberto into complacency.
We even sent him a spanking new pair of ZIPP 808s.
We will get him, Alberto GRR!!!

Conti wants to be the bigger man, which to be quite honest is exactly what he seems to be

Contador's comments have been quite generous. He's a smart guy and I think he's smart enough not to burn a single bridge in the midst of a long, great career.

He's a fierce competitor, but he doesn't seem to let the fierceness spill over into his time off the bike.

Sorry boss, Lance Armstrong has never tested positive for any performance enhancing drugs. FACT. Spin your rebuttal however you like. Lance rides as clean as any other pro cycling champion. FACT. Hide behind a crowd in Luxemburg if you fancy that. Do not mess with the BOSS.

He's just keeping it real, I suspect. What's to be gained by holding on to animus/hostility toward those two? Moreover, I think he using the Astana is weak, Radio Shack is strong mantra to his advantage. It lowers expectations on him and his team (a tad) and places more focus on Radio Shack to perform.

I expect if Armstrong and others can't cut it, we will hear about how old they are, etc., and there will be a rush to back off the strength of their team. Hard to do that (effectively) when even your competitors are saying how strong your team is, especially compared to his own.

In short, PR 101.

It's not spin. 6 samples contained synthetic EPO, which I believe was (and is still) a performance enhancing drug. No disputing that FACT. Of course you can spin that however you like as well. But it won't change the fact that 6 samples contained synthetic EPO.

Or we could just ignore the dope talk, ignore the spin, ignore the various accusations and just take the post in the good humoured way it was intended, and have a bit of a chuckle at the play on the livestrong brand. save the doping for the clinic..

I thought EPO was legal in the years it has been claimed Lance was positive.
Just kidding! Like I said before I have been watching the Tours 99-2006.

I am sure you are as knowledgable as I on the teams Lance was racing against. Such as Kelme, Polti,T-Mobile, Wurth, Liberty Seguros ,CSC whichever team Iban Mayo rode for, Were any of those teams using systematic doping? How many of their riders were banned. I do not see the emphatic need for perfection from Lance. As I have said before, leveling the playing field. That is what biological passport is about, and I believe the UCI is trying to do. That is just my opinion though. I might be wrong. When Lance goes out do you think cycling will be cleaner or more honest?

Deleted my post. You can move this question to the Clinic, and I will respond there.

I just read Graham's Watson's latest update (Graham's View (29 June)) and he mentions that Lance is "rumored to have refound his climbing accelerations of old." Has anyone else heard this? I know no one has seen this in a race yet, but I'm curious if this is being talked about elsewhere. This was the first I've heard of it.

EDIT: And here's his podium:

Contador and Armstrong will take 1st and 2nd places in Paris. 3rd place? Bradley Wiggins over Schleck – the Brit’s time trialling on the penultimate stage will put him on the podium!

Yeah, I saw that but didn't read it to suggest anything about his ability to accelerate (which hasn't been seen in any events this year). So he's now claiming that he's back to his 1999 numbers (were he logged his best time on Madone)? As opposed to last year he was claiming that he was hitting his 2002 numbers? Interesting...

I can't wait to see him win the prologue then.

Scleck 1+2 ain't gonna make the stand in Paris. I see Lance#1 and Alberto#2. Wiggins 3rd.

Wiggins couldn't keep up with the elite climbers last year and this year has more mountains. I don't think Wiggins' ITT skills are enough to overcome the deficit.

The competition will be high this year. When you add Basso, Menchov, Evans, and Sastre into the mix of contador, the shlecks and armstrong I just can't see wiggins there.

Also, keep in mind, that in addition to Armstrong, Wiggins was a great benefactor of the TTT last year. I suspect that wiggins won't even make top 5.

I predict that Wiggins will lose 3+ minutes on monstrous Tourmalet stage.

And Armstrong finding his 1999 accelerations(that ridiculous stage to Sestriere)? No way.

Just checked all the profiles on video on TDF's official Youtube channel, have to say that it could be an ideal Tour for Carlos Sastre. Can he hit top form come third week? Hope so.

If Armstrong magically recaptures climbing acceleration last seen in the early 2000s, Jeff Novitzky and his Pederal investigation team will get a warm glow inside.
It's just too ridiculous to contemplate.
The damage to the sport's credibility would be even greater than if he came out of the pharmaceutical closet.

And what would the damage to the sport's credibility be if a 60 kg Contador continues to function as the world's best climber while easily keeping pace with cancellera in time trials?

He only keeps pace with Cancellara at the end of a 3-week Tour.
A fresh Canc beats AC easily by 2 minutes.;)

And don't forget the Cat 4 and Cat 3 climbs that were featured in last year's TTs. Those helped AC a lot more than they helped Spartacus.

Exactly, Canc took back something like 40 + seconds on the downhill/flat bit.

Again, with both at their peak and fresh, on a flat course Canc wins by 2 + minutes.

Back on topic: I doubt Armstrong believes he has a realistic chance of winning. All of this: "record time? No. Pretty close.I'm ready." nonsense is a PR stunt for the fanboys.
