HELL NO, he might regain the Nevada City Classic(if they offer enough dead presidents for him to turn up), which is probably the hardest race in the world, expect to see the best Shack line-up there.

And the race would of been decided before it has started with Lance doing his look behind at Levi (Alpe 2001) and then accelerates away dedicating the win to some person who has cancer to make him look like an absolute saint. then he will insult contador on twitter telling him he better watch his back at the tour.

Seriously and aside from the ongoing debate.
Re: The Tour of Murcia. None of the main Spanish teams are not taking part, due to a dispute over race safety and appearance fees.
I wonder if Armstrong might not pull out, over these two issues, that are very close to his heart?

:D He reminds me of John Terry - enough is never enough when it comes to lining his pockets.

Good article from the Boulder report CC, particularly loved this quote:
"Team spokesman Philippe Maertens said that, as of now, all salaries are paid up but admitted that he “did not have all the answers and will not have them immediately.” He did not specify whether the UCI reserve had been used to pay salaries. So just who drained 2 million out of that account? Olympus SARL?

I not only claimed, but demonstrated that what he's claimed isn't true. So instead of racing through the rest of March, he's doing a charity event in South Africa.

Tour of Murcia March. Milan-San Remo, March. Criterium International. March

You're claim is without foundation.

He is racing a good schedule of classic races before the tour.

Tour of Catalunya, March.........oh wait, I forgot.
Lance changed his schedule, because some other guy was riding.

I'd bet on that change not being the only schedule alteration, before I'd bet on CC becoming a confirmed "hater".

Again, what did you mean when you claimed "illegal payments".

Funny thing. I don't find anywhere KCF accusing Bruyneel of any wrongdoing concerning the money.

On the contrary, I find lots of references to them crying poor that financial hard times are making it hard to get the sponsors to pay up.

Of course, in the conspiracy driven world of internet cranks like you, their must be SOME way to make it all the fault of the evil Lance/Bruyneel plot for world domination.

I don't get Armstrong's schedule at all. He's riding a 68 mile public bike ride in South Africa on March 14th (Paris Nice ends the same day).

I thought he was supposed to be having a more traditional year? Seems like an odd detour. I wonder if there is appearance money involved.

Publicus said:
It doesn't matter what I mean by focus, since we are talking about what Lance has actually said on the subject. He's talked about having a more focused year, less of the LiveStrong events and more racing and training. He says that he wants to be at a higher level sooner this year compared to last year.

So I'm just making a note of how much bs he is putting out in the run up to the TdF.

You got me on those 3 days of racing, so I'll take my lumps on making a statement I hadnt fully researched. I'll continue to maintain my original point though. Argus is a weird detour for a guy who wants to be at a higher level sooner and says that he wants to have a more traditional calendar (in reference to charity events, etc.). Your mileage may vary.

Ah, the ad hominem attack CC - I'm surprised and not a little saddened as I thought you might at least engage with the debate, offer your opinion on the questions posed, instead of posting a couple of links you didn't bother to read and then follow up with some schoolboy slagging. The sad thing is that you get paid for the cr*p you spout and I don't ;)

However, until you can address the issue of the missing 2 million euros, the aborted PT licence grab and McQuaid's unhealthy relationship with Armstrong (the Vrijman report, Showergate, the Verbruggen/Armstrong TdF buyout bid) then I don't think I'll feed the troll anymore.

As for Armstrong's race schedule - how many times have we heard 'I'm going to race Paris-Roubaix/Flanders etc etc etc in support of Hincapie/some other guy' and then, quelle surprise, he's a no show. And aren't those 20kms of cobbles being blown out of all proportion? Contador aint no Mayo - he'll know exactly where to be on those cobbles - glued to Armstrong's back wheel. I hate a wheelsucker as much as the best man but in that case I'll make an exception ;)

Ps Dont forget Kloden's comments in 2004 about Armstrong. Now haven't they become good friends..... Must have been the word to Pat to clear up the Freiburg incident. ie frig Contador support me & I'll make that blood thing go away.

ProCycling mag. He hates the khunt. Read it.

Of course that link was further enhanced by Lance coming to Ireland last year for the Tour here. Now, I'm very patriotic, but I would not be deluded enough to think that our national Tour was important enough for Lance to alter his hectic racing schedule:rolleyes:, but guess who was the race promoter....Darrach McQuaid...brother of Pat...In 2009 the race had only three stages (usually five) due to economic constraints. Funnily enough, the organisers expect 2010 to again be five stages. Lance's appearance came at a price, quite literally. The UCI President's links with Lance denotes a serious conflict of interest. This is why Lemond's words about cycling being on a slow death march are true. There is no reward whatsoever in the UCI busting their most saleable assets. Hen keeper and foxes.

Yeah, but let's just see what this mofo is going to do...it is going to be one giant hype year...he won't win anything of any substance...and at the tour, he will start getting killed and then do a DNF via some sorta trouble...shame actually as he used to be a champ..but my feeling is this year it is going to be friggin ugly...

I thought about bringing that into this discussion, glad you brought it up. That was the perfect example of something that was originally considered a conspiracy theory against Lance that turned out to be very true. You do know Darrach McQuaid admitted to paying big bucks to get Armstrong, no surprise the race had economic problems. Justice was served when Lance didnt finish due to back problems and then tweeted his ride in the Dublin park a day later. 2 days of a national Tour lost because of one money grabbing has been. God, people are stupid.

Start googling CC.

are you from Eire? Makes perfect sense....they would have done better just donating money to cancer funds rather than this crap...gotten more bang for the actual pain....

I think you have to backpedal a little faster. Vuelta a Murcia is a 5 stage race.

He was already going to be in Africa for a non cycling charity event.

I'm sure someone here will be able to turn it into a evil plot.

How about this one. He's trying to avoid the surprise testers.

Yep, was stood in pouring rain on the big hill on the final day and laughed when Lance didnt even make it up the hill once despite a Rwandan guy doing it.

Check out this thread, it started in July and see how what started as a cynical thought became very real.

See the similarities with the Tour of Ireland last year.

I'm standing right here. I admitted my error on the 3 days of additional racing since Criterium is 2 days (but 3 stages) and MSR is one day. Murcia was already counted in the first place, so need to count it twice. Perhaps next time you should ask instead of assuming.

Well at least we have agreement on the original point (still doing non-cycling events despite his renewed focus this year ;)). Even if you stumbled into a$$ backwards. Frankly, I think you are more on this issue than I am. I just made the observation (regarding the disconnect), why you want to defend this issue is beyond me.

If you are going to address something I said, quote me.
I know it's harder for you that way, you know, to have my actual words above what you claim about my words, but that's what the quote button is for.

It's perfectly clear what happened to that money. It's explained in that article as well as others.

You evidently choose to ignore it because it does't support your position.

I think putting this troll on ignore is the way to go. Therefore we don't have to read his crap and he will have nothing to post about. problem solved. He is very hipocritical in his posts. he doesn't like when people insult him when making a point but doesn't like it himself.

Quote from this article

According to sports.kz, only three of the eight original sponsors have paid their full duty to the team (although that includes the largest individual backer, Samruk-Kazyna). One, Air Astana, has backed out entirely.

Please help me! I don't know how interprete all this. Several members of this forum claims, that it was JB and his company Olympus Sarl who caused this non-payment issue.
You must realize that this claim is out of agreement with the article presented.... Do you understand why I'm confused?
