How about this from the same Hog blog?

Over the last few months, I've really seen the power that the fans hold. One clear example - Over $135,000 raised for LIVESTRONG and World Bicycle Relief thanks to people spreading The Fat Cyclist's message.

And none of this will actually go to fighting cancer but to uniballer himself. It is a shame.

Lancey-poo and Sarko were made for each other, although I don't know how they got both their humungous egos into the same room.

I hope Sarko didn't disgrace the French people by confusing @Anna Hansen with Lance's mother.

Michel Drucker is a world class a$$ kisser.

Color me confused. I thought he and JB said he was lighter than at this time last year??? In all seriousness, if he says 3 kgs, then it is probably closer to 5. At least we can now dispense with this notion that he was wearing something under his kit.

i dont attach any significance to this.

3 kilos..5 kilos, 7 kilos makes no difference.

it's an old tired damage control technique where the roles of players are sequenced. yesterday, bruyneel issued a press release that he does not expect la to match berto at the ci. today we heard the second note of the same tired song.

what every one should pay attention to, is that jb found contador's change of racing plan curious/interesting...is he admitting they got outfoxed in their own mental games ? i think so.

I don't have a "team." From what I have seen on this and other forums, RR is not exactly the type of guy who would troll with sock puppets. I am not Full ***, Wonder Lance, flicker, Speedway, progressor, fpcycling1, or any of the other trolls who pop in once a week to whine about everyone hating on Armstrong because they are jealous.

Its my once a week pop to "whine" away the stress laughing at the clueless clown and other assorted things.

This confuses me a little. Asked on TF2 last July on the podium of the TdF what he thought of the return of Armstrong to the Tour Sarko paused, took a deep breath and said slowly "Cycling has a serious doping problem ...." (In French obviously).

Is there a photo of NS with the bike? Not riding it, the saddle is too high and it has no stabilisers.

Tom Cruise has recently visited NS too, and Scientology is banned in France.

I wonder how much Drucker was paid to facilitate this photo-opportunity?

Nobody cares that two persons of interest who pretty much represent all but one person of interest in an ongoing police investigation got the President of that country to rearrange his schedule and presented him with an expensive gift?

This happened the day after Sarko's party got regally shafted in the local elections.

Loads of us care, but what do you suggest we can do about it?

mark my words, come june-july there will be news of the police investigation into the trash. by then, everyone will forget about the sarco bike and other trash. that's how it was proven to work - always just before the tour.:)

It isn't the first time that LA has gone sucking up to President Sarkozy:

..."High on top of his bookshelves, in special alcoves, are his seven blue Tour trophies. Desperately, he wants an eighth. And if for some strange reason the A.S.O. doesn’t “invite” Armstrong and his team to the Tour de France, he plans on pleading his case directly to the current French president, Nicolas Sarkozy. “I’ve already put a call in to him,” Armstrong says. “Look it up. He’s said strong things about me in the past.

IMO,the sudden change of Contadors schedule has caught Lance& Jb off guard.I think they know beforehand where Contador will race because they are trying to avoid him as much as possible until the TDF.Racing against him(AC) at this early will expose LA's present form.I hope no more alibi will emerge from LA aside from Gastrointiritis come racing time!:D

They are calling Anna his wife.....did Lance marry his baby momma?

épouse can also just be used for "partner". I was often called my g/f's "épouse" and "gendre" ("son in law") over there at Christmas, but that's just the way they say things over there.

At least that's what I was told anyway...

i would not dismiss this article out of hand. martinelli wouldn’t either.

perhaps, the article was inspired by this video (warning: it is in French) where j-f bernard (l’equipe’s cycling analyst) expressed the same sentiment.
http://www.lequipe.fr/Cyclisme/breves2010/20100313_223741_rien-n-est-joue.html
obviously, berto was under some pressure in stage 6 at p-n and equally obvious, he and his team managed just fine though he was isolated.

astana will be much stronger at the tour. again and again, people failed to mention max iglinsky who demonstrates both stamina and good climbing legs. people overlook martinelli’s shrewd use of other teams and alliances. vino’s thirst for individual stage wins and his escapes will only strengthen this tactic. it’s not unfounded to question astana’s strength. but it is ridiculous to look at the obviously dynamic inspired well lead team as an amorphous body.

To my knowledge (and that is admittedly limited), no team has controlled the yellow from beginning to end--and certainly not with a field that was as stacked
.

The Postal/Disco TEAM controlled the TdF from the 1999 Passage du Gois to the Avenue des Champs-Élysées in 2005. 7 consectutive years, all in a row, back to back to back to back to back to back to back GRRRRR.

As Alberto wins his 2nd in a row this year, it will be a chance to reflect on the greatness and almost impossible awesomeness of THE SEVEN.

That was "THE STREAK" in ALL of Sports, not just Cycling.
C'mon, what other sports streak even comes close?
Nada.

The 1999 Postal Team did not have yellow from the prologue until the Champs. No USPS/Discovery did.

Try these on for size. ESPN don't even rate Armstrong. LA comes in at 8th on the Bleacher Report.

http://espn.go.com/page2/s/list/readers/greatest/individualstreaks.html

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/36934-untouchable-the-greatest-streaks-in-sports

And these are just American sporting streaks, not from sportsmen in other countries. These also do not include sporting streaks from team sports, which one could argue is professional cycling. Lastly, US Postal/Discovery never controlled the peloton from start to finish. They were smart and allowed other teams to take the lead and control the peloton. Lance always said he didn't want to expose his team to defending the maillot jaune from start to finish.

A great team, a genius team, does not need to be in possession of the Yellow Jersey in order to control a TdF. Many times it is smart to temporarily lend the jersey to another team. Temporarily.

Alberto's Astana 2010 team will be the last Astana team he races with most likely. It promises to be an exciting flash in a pan for sure:)

That was the whole point of this commentary--the ability to control the race/defend. Perhaps you should take a break from polishing Lance's knob and read a little more clearly before parachuting in with an inane comment. ;):p
