Was it dico's objective for him to win? I doubt it. So, I'll stand by my subjective interpretation of reality and say stumbled. My subjective view of reality also says after all the pretty attacks in the mountains, he was fortunate he had enough time on Evans.

Not a Contador fan then. 'Pretty attacks', 'fortunate he had enough time'. Eh? Very subjective.

I am a fan. My point is that for all the attacking he did on Chicken, Evans still ran him close. I don't know how much thought Disco gave to Evans, but it didn't look like much. Based on that assumption, I say 23 seconds is fortunate.

Someday when Lance is a part owner of the TdF, one can realistically
see him jumping off the podium to attack an intruder. Or at least give
the intruder "The Look".

Ahh, so that's his plan to wear yellow again.:rolleyes:

If it wasn't for all the "pretty attacks", Evans wouldn't have bonked on a couple of stages.

Lance is better off without that scumbag in his life. What an a$$.

Ever wonder why so many people have a problem with Armstrong? He had to be a tough SOB to seperate himself from people like his father. I don't fault him one bit. I still like him no matter what people say.

What are you talking about? The guy never hung around to be a detrimental influence in Armstrong's life.

Gunderson left and never made contact with him. What's so tough about overcoming that? Or is this just more mythmaking?

His upbringing has nothing to do with him being an a-hole. That's no excuse. He's living well now, and has for the large majority of his life.

So what's the problem?

Why does he continues being a-hole when the sun is shining on him?

You can be a fanboy all you want. But your reasoning is ludicrous.

I never recall Evans being there when it mattered in those mountain duels between Contador and Rasmussen.

No one spotted Contador those seconds. He EARNED them by being a better rider than Evans, whether you like it or not. Whether you care to admit it or not.

Oh, I forgot who I was talking to-

What an arsehole. I never hit his mother. I only remember slapping her once. (paraphrase)

You should read Ullrich's book.

Regular beatings of both the boys. Drinking then beating his mother to the point of of putting her in hospital.

The only way they could get out was the going to sports school.

That was a hard life. Did you ever hear Ullrich blame his father for when lost, or got fat or drank himself?

I'll do that right on sept 5th. I'll never post again if that date ever arrives.

Actually I can claim anything I want, make any bet/promise on my accuracy, then self quote myself if I get lucky, and pretend nothing ever happened if I'm wrong.

Yeah I like that idea. It's a total winner.

The style known as 'Throwing Sh!t against the wall and hoping some of it sticks' ?

Whereas you just throw insults, with no cycling knowedge whatsoever. Seriously, what are you bringing to the table here in terms of cycling?

I stand by what I said. When your mother is the only parent you have - you have to step up being the male in the family. I couldnt imagine being a kid without my dad to give me male guidance growing up. So how is being a tough SOB wrong in this case? Why are you so angry? I bet the man is quite happy in his life. Another "I'll tell you you're wrong about your own opinion" jaggoff eh?

This is my last visit here. This place is a joke of a forum. It's knowitall lameness.

Do you mean your last visit using the "Phlakton" name or permanently?
