Years ago I used to work with a young lady from Texas who also said she went to high school with him, and she iterated the same comments-that Lance was an a-hole and extremely full of himself.

Difference is Levi's left leg is not extended down in the picture and Lance's is, and they look to have the same amount of upper thigh-belly interface. To put it another way Levi is 'belly breathing' Lance is a 'fat ass'.

What actually happened seemed the middle ground of everyone's polarized expectations.

If the same would be true this year, he'll finish in the top ten, but never be in competition for the podium. I say he'll end up on 7th place. What's more, it is very well possible that another Radioshack rider finishes higher in the GC, and that Armstrong turns out to be happy with that. It is possible he will get some of the credit for that, just as Pantani did when Garzelli won the Giro.

So that's the scenario I see - no miracle, no crashing defeat, and an effort to put in a good PR performance with success for his team.

A fair assessment. I think he needs to outperform expectations to claim the moral victory (in the name of cancer awareness and the myth). 7th would be a good result, but I wonder what his diehard zombies would REALLY think of 7th? Not the forum spin, but sincerely in their hearts.

No doubt the bracelet wearing dilletantes won't care and see it all as a win regardless.

I wear a bracelet to support the efforts against cancer, but am still a realist. I would say anything top 10 for his age, and the level of competition expected, would still be pretty impressive and would be happy as a fan.
