Why Does Armstrong Feel He Is Above Anyone and Everyone???

I know this LA thing is a dead horse, but after reading the blurb about Bruyneel tweeting some exploits about officials not letting Team Radioshack wear a different kit, it p's me off.

Where does Armstrong get the balls to feel he can exploit an event with all the history that dates back to 1903 to become a public spectacle for his own little B.S. cause??? And then to have his best bud Bruyneel tweet some crap about how unfair it is that they can't break the rules. Honestly, what is wrong with these two guys? Do they both feel that the world owes them everything and that everyone just needs to cater to them for whatever it is they want?

Crap, total crap and I am sooooo glad that LA has finally decided to get the heck out of the sport. It'll be nice to finally see some of these actual GC contenders on team RS be able to actually ride instead of push and pull the old man to the finish.

I completely disagree with the bolded statement. I'm not his biggest fan and i disagree with what he did on stage twenty but its not a small bull**** cause and it doesn't just affect him. If you don't like him fine, your choice, your opinion, but please, can we try and be a little more mature and respectful towards people who are currently, and were previously, affected by cancer.

When I first saw your comment, I thought you were using 'gay' as a generic and offensive insult...then I saw the picture:D Please tell me this add will run in those muscle magazines that pretend to be about health but are really for gay pin-ups. Of course, the doping connotations are great too - so many levels of funny!

I'm sorry. For those who don't get it, I found the ad funny because we will be finding out very soon about Lance's little "secret." I'm guessing there might be more than one...

I was being silly. Funny that he would pose for an ad with the shush gesture and 'tell no secrets' tag. You would think he would have better judgement.

Not sure about the gay thing though - that I really don't get.

He probably thinks it's a subtle warning to the potential "rats" (to use 1960's mafia/playground speak).

Should've just used a photo from the Simeoni stage.

Interesting, but as it turns out that's not how the picture originally looked. Our agents, putting their lives on the line managed to sneak into the Livestrong headquarters and find this (almost) unedited version.

It looks like he's picking his nose. Are boogers performance enhancing? Maybe that's the secret ingredient in FRS. LA's holy snot.

Yesterday there was a problem early with the Tour de Pologne feed, so Eurosport UK was showing cycling clips with music. For Armstrong they showed him falling, and bumping his head on the entrance to the bus (they repeated that) all with the lyrics, "I'm a loser baby, so why don't you...".

Or was it just an excellent dream?

Brett Favre is all over the news this morning. I guess he passed gas, or something.

Oh wait, I'm sorry, my apologies. I thought this was a Brett Favre thread.

But seeing that there are some similarities between the two, I would have to suggest that both have the same business strategy. That of staying in the public eye as long as possible in order to attract sponsorship money. Blue jeans, beer, etc, whatever it is, there is money to be made off of an image.

Not to be too cynical about this, it's just business.

Old and beat up Brett Favre still actually won some football games. Armstrong makes the press story about his boo boos.
