Brett Won a Superbowl and played injured without *****en. Lance has a couple of crashes and that's the end of his career. Oh, his career was a sham, by the way so I'll stand so you can...

If Lance didnt crash he could of possibly been apart of that epic battle between AC and Schleck. So we really will never know

He'd shown absolutely no form that would indicate that he could compete in the mountains on the level of Contador and Schleck let alone Menchov and Sanchez. If he really felt that he was able to raise his game to that level I firmly believe that he wouldn't have announced this as being his last Tour.
He had to know that it wasn't and isn't going to happen.

Objectively speaking, LA is clearly no longer able to maintain the same momentum in the mountains as his younger opponents. With or without crashes he is incapable of competing at such an elevated level. Once the poignant attacks begin he falls away from the front group. This has been demonstrated almost every time he has competed during his "come-back" He is certainly no match for AC from that point of view.

Your clearly in denial. A Lance fan, with a brain, would realize that LA is too old to compete with the youngsters. You've been brainwashed by Versus's hype. About Brett Favre-the one thing that Brett has that LA never and will never have is playing through pain. Brett has played a countless number of seasons through injury, and at a high level. It's his steel resolve and love for the game that makes Favre unique to many others great QB's.

Ok guys lets say Lance didnt crash all those times and had a clean trip all the way, where do you think he would of placed?

Somewhere around 10th to 15th, like Horner, Kloden, and Levi.

Outside Top 10 for sure... He didn't has the level necessary to stay in the Top 10...

P.S: I was seeing the attacks that Lance did in Huatacam 2000 and Joux-Plane in the 2002... What difference! you know! Seeing that unbeatable man who dropped Il Pirata and the cyclist that he's now... OFC there he was 29... ppl is time to move forward :D

Reset your brain and throw away all that brainwashed that you have...

Yep what Bernhard Hinault said about Lance being 2nd or third in the tour this year, What would that Breton know about cycling or the TdF anyway....

Even for a fanboy, that must be stretching the fairytale beyond it's breaking point.
He was already behind all the podium placers after stage 3.
Menchov failed to have is usual off day plus, Sanchez and JVdB
had great races.

2nd or 3rd? I'd like to know when the Badger made this bold and wildly inaccurate statement. I'll bet it was prior to stage 3.
Best guess would be 10th-15th.
He had lost his ability to accelerate on the mountains, before the race had started.

No crash had effected his stage 16 effort, where he couldn't sustain an attack, long enough to raise a sweat on Perrick Fedrigo's brow.

He rapid announcement of retirement, should be a clear marker to Lance's aging potential, even for the most blinkered of fanboys.

Come on that's hash, I actually think that Seatleallstar is right.

a·part
adv.
"At a distance in place, position, or time."

Though I believe the correct turn of phrase would be "apart from", not "apart of", but let's not nitpick.

Somewhere between 3 and 5, I would say
But never on the level of AC/Schleck. They were riding in their own league.

Form was obvisiously there (3.ToL, 2.TdS, 4. Prolog) - but we all saw what happenend. Just never ending bad luck.
In soccer they say: "when you have sh** on the foot, you have sh** on the foot"

Of course the haters write him down to somewhere after 15th place - (when they are in a good mood.) But I don´t care - and you shouldn´t, too :D
When you listened to all the haters, Lance didn´t even start this TdF or pull out. So who cares about them...they go on anyway.

Haunting
