Saugy was one of the interviewees for the CIRC report.
Go figure.

On that topic, Olaf Schumacher was also interviewed by CIRC.
Schumacher who was part of the panel of medical 'experts' who cleared Hayles of any wrongdoing in 2008.

I trust both of them really opened up to the CIRC.

Saugy the likely candidate for Papa Massata Diack (Lamine's son) "special testing" that the IAAF was planning for Russian positives...

we-have a plan B to do the tests in Lausanne INSTEAD

Saugy can make them go away. I'm interested to know more about these special tests a Diack can order.

As a general note, the contempt for WADA is not surprising as are the complaints that Russians test too much. IAAF did 14 blood tests in 2014.

Here it is in English, it's formatted differently and has no mention of Saugy. The graphic posted by Seppelt cuts off the reference to Lausanne.

Looks like Saugy to leave Lausanne lab. News from Finnish Antidoping Agency.

Finnish doctor of pharmacy and pharmaceutical chemistry docent Tiia Kuuranne elected to the World Anti-Doping Agency WADA accredited doping control laboratory director of Lausanne, Switzerland. Kuuranne's new position as a significant vantage point, as in Lausanne are also located in the International Olympic Committee and various international sports federations headquarters.

Kuuranne has previously worked at the WADA accredited laboratory of United Medix Scientific Director of Helsinki. He defended his doctorate in pharmacy at the University of Helsinki in 2003.

- I'm really grateful for diverse tasks, which I have been working for many years in Helsinki. An interesting environment has inspired me. The future job as Lausanne I can get better acquainted with the work of international organizations. Environmental change and the working language is, of course exciting, but the issue remains the same, however, as the familiar and the way you want, Kuuranne says.

Eh? Even allowing for English not being his first language, what does this nonsense even mean?

That's not an english as you might guess, it's a google-translate. :)

In the nandrolon case (Jaap Stam, Frank de Boer, Edgar Davids) Saugy was involved and actually came up with five reasons other than doping for the positive tests.

Dvorak was also involved as with most fifa cases.

Vrijman was the lawyer for Davids and Pound the WADA chairman. If you swap Armstrong for Davids you have the same actors as during the Vrijman report:

slowly, pieces of the jigsaw fall into place, though what it'll show when all the pieces have come together is anyone's guess.

jigsaw? i don't know.
it seems pretty straightforward.
'anti'doping specialist(s) taking brown envelopes to help cover up doping practices.
ssdd.

Has anyone here ever tried contacting an investigative journalist to take a look at the pieces and see if they stick? Thinking specifically of someone like Jonathan Calvert or anyone on the Sunday Times investigative team?

David Walsh?

Lausanne appears the go to lab when the results of tests need a controlled outcome.

I completely missed this one.

Martial Saugy explained away Ms. Racliffe's values for the IAAF.

Another senior independent expert who WADA recommended and who is head of the WADA accredited laboratory in Lausanne was asked at my request to review the data following the Sunday Times articles (without being told my identity). He concluded that:

Thanks to the current letsrun thread on Ms. Radcliffe.

This is an old one. Veloclinic on tumblr posted some 2014 research where Saugy is an author. The research used IAAF blood samples going back many years. Interestingly, all of the samples were considered legitimate in research.

http://www.clinchem.org/content/57/5/762.long

Yet Saugy in Paula's published excuse declares these same samples totally unfit. See the link to her excuse above.

Saugy's been extremely lucky so far. Not too many facts tripping up some of the more elaborate excuses he's published. This one is a solid blunder.

But one of Rodchenkov’s indirect allegations — sourced to a memo he wrote to the attention of Russia’s sports minister in 2015 — resulted in a cloud of suspicion around a fellow chemist, Martial Saugy of Switzerland, for which Rodchenkov is now apologizing.

Following early whistle-blower accounts about Russia’s state-sponsored cheating, Rodchenkov suggested in an internal report to Russia’s sports ministry that Saugy was a sympathetic figure suited to help their national lab wallpaper over its problems.
