The second goal was top drawer, although de Marcos was suspiciously close to offside there and I would have been gutted but not upset if they'd given it. de Gea played a really good game despite conceding 3, Hernández was a bit too profligate (wasted a great chance by taking about 5 touches when a maximum of 2 would have done, and missed Rooney entirely with a pass because he was too busy trying to induce San José to foul him), Rooney started and finished well but had a spell of brain-freeze in the middle of the game, and Rafael I'm not convinced should be at this level. Every time I see him he's getting sent off, doing something that should get him sent off but doesn't, or falling asleep at the wheel. de Gea has every right to be furious at him for that third goal as Muniaín ran in from way behind Rafael to finish that off.
Also, the United players were throwing a hissy fit about that third goal, but considering it was Evra's choice to be an idiot and play the ball without his boot on, the Athletic players were under no obligation, moral or otherwise, to give the ball back.
