Its a shame Roman Abramovich wouldn't count for such an award. W an k er of the year award for owners could be brought in perhaps.

I am disgusted at the treatment meted out to Di Matteo. The guy is a Chelsea legend, a big part of our pre-Roman success. If we replace him with some idiot like Rafa (who will exceed expectations if he lasts more than a week) or AVB mark II, Pep Guardiola, then why bother?

More importantly, who the hell is left to replace him with? It's invariably going to be one of those two, and I shudder at what awful future lies ahead this season under the reign of one of the two Spaniards.

I have heard Benitez on a short term basis.

Indeed, it appears to be Rafa. Which seems to me a last ditch attempt to get anything resembling competence out of that disgusting excuse for a footballer, Torres. It's a disgraceful appointment, the fans strongly dislike Rafa because of all the **** he gave us when he was in charge at Liverpool. Not to mention the fact that he is revered as a legend by fans of a club that we have a strong dislike for as well.

Any day City is out of a competition is a good day.

Yes! These "unwritten rules" are part of the sport and should be respected! It is what is called good sportsmanship! Just like in cycling, when someone has a mechanical ... oh wait. Nevermind. It's a competition and the goal is to score, any way possible. These "unwritten rules" are just for losers! Right?!

So what do people think about my favourite team Borussia Dortmund? Are they gonna win this thing or what??!

They could be onto something here! Every club should have their own official club pornstar.:p:cool:

Colombian pornstar Janeira Ventura has set Catalan pulses racing by promising to raffle a ‘night of passion’ to one lucky Barcelona supporter if the Nou Camp club can win La Liga this season.

The 27-year-old is an enormous Barcelona fan and has vowed to draw out of a hat and then give the night of their life to one lucky fan, who will need to prove themselves as a Barca aficionado.

“I’ve been a culé since I was a little girl,” said the adult actress, “I love the team, the style of play and the players really excite me… The most sexy? Messi, Xavi and Puyol” she added.

Elaborating on her fondness for the pint-sized Argentine star, Ventura added “I’ve got little cats at home called Leo and Messi, I have even thought of having his named tattooed on me when I go back to Spain. Where? Well that’s a secret!”

On her pledge to Barca fans, the Barranquilla-born actress was not shy in revealing her plans:

“If we win the league this year, I publicly promise to spend a night of passion with one member or fan who dares.

“How will they demonstrate it? Easily! With a membership card or photos, tickets… Everybody has some sort of momento of the team they support!”

The problem as I see it with Roman Abramovich as an owner is that he's more concerned about making himself look good, not look like an idiot, than he is with the well being of the club. For him, it's always been Andriy Shevchenko FC and more recently, Fernando Torres FC than Chelsea FC. Now that's fine if the big marquee signings you make are well timed in terms of the players career development, form, etc., but it's not when you sign players that have clearly shown signs of decline before they make the transfer.

"Das Klassicko" tonight in Germany ... will be a great game I am sure ... regular subscribers to this thread of course know my favourite team is Borussia Dortmund ... but B. München plays really well this season plus they must have a lot of anger in their bellies after 5 losses in a row including the 5-2 public humiliation in the cup final last year ...

any1 read the news about ronaldo?

yesterday against Atletico madrid, at minute 77 he covered 96 meters on a counter attack(from one side of the field to the other) in 10 seconds, and still had the strength to shoot.

that's mighty impressive imo!!!!!

Pff, Ronaldo:rolleyes:

This appalling and senseless tragedy has overshadowed everything else in Holland.

Three to be charged over Dutch football linesman death

Prosecutors in the Netherlands say they will charge three players in connection with the death of a linesman in a Sunday league football match.

The two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old will face broad charges in connection with the death of Richard Nieuwenhuizen.

The three remain in custody ahead of their court appearance on Thursday.

The prosecutor's office said the investigation was continuing and witnesses were still being questioned.

Mr Nieuwenhuizen had been running the line for his son's team, Buitenboys. After the match he was attacked by members of the opposition, the Amsterdam club Nieuw Sloten.

He collapsed hours after the assault, fell into a coma and died in hospital on Monday.

The Dutch Football Association has cancelled all amateur matches for the coming weekend as a mark of respect for Mr Nieuwenhuizen. A minute's silence will be observed at professional games.

Richard Nieuwenhuizen officiated as linesman each week at Buitenboys, the club said.

The assault has been widely condemned in the Netherlands. Sports Minister Edith Schippers, the Dutch FA and the coach of the country's most famous club, Ajax, have expressed disbelief and outrage.

And Sepp Blatter, the president of the world governing body, Fifa, has written to the president of the Dutch FA to express his "sadness and distress".

"Football is a mirror of society and sadly, the same ills that afflict society - in this case violence - also manifest themselves in our game, " Mr Blatter added.

Nieuw Sloten said it intended to ban for life the players found to be responsible, that it had pulled their team from the league and temporarily suspended all its operations as a club.

Torres is cheating the club, and us, the fans. You can't possibly be so bad. Or have such low self belief. You've just won 3 team trophies and one individual prize this season, you're unchallenged as the number 1 striker at the club and you still behave like a pre-pubescent girl waiting to be swept off your feet by Prince Charming. Not to mention you've, directly or indirectly, sacked 3 managers, one of whom was a great player for the club and beloved by the fans.

Indeed it is, but it just adds more to my theory that Messi and Ronaldo are inherently inferior to the greats of 10 years ago. The original Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Zidane, Henry, etc. They were truly artists. Messi is just a machine, and Ronaldo is just an athlete. If you ask me, there is little magic in their play. They lack that aura about them that the likes of Zidane had.

Compared to narcisinho everyone is humble. But i agree messi and guardiola are dicks too. I remember when messi smashed the ball in frustration at the heads of real fans 5m away from him, and didn't even apologise. And in 1 of the super cup finals a few years ago when for.no reason he went with his head at a defender after the ball went out of play.
