Words cannot describe the immense dislike I have for Zverev. I hope Nadal annihilates him.
Why?
Such an entitled brat, and then when his opponents choke he acts like he's the biggest thing in tennis.

Konta, Ostapenko and Venus Williams gone already from the French Open. Kyrgios pulls out of the men's with an elbow injury seemingly to save himself for Wimbledon.

Nadal has already lost more games than I expected in the first three rounds
Really good game by Bolelli so far

Nadal was pushed further than he would've liked. Maybe others will adopt the all-or-nothing approach Bolelli did? Although Bolelli did play probably one of his best ever matches, and if you're off your game then you might implode playing like he did.

It's the only way to play for just about anybody on clay.

It was rainy today, which does Nadal no favours though. All top players are through on the men's side, though my legendary compatriot did the classic Robin Haase action of going up 2 sets before losing miserably vs Goffin.

Lmao dimitrov loses in straight sets to Verdasco who must be at least 44 by now

389 years old to be exact.

Dimitrov out, Shapovalov out, Paire out. I'm a little sad, at least Thiem is still in,though I don't think he'll be able to solve his inconsitency issues any time soon.

For once, I'm actually hoping for Djokovic to win a grand slam. But he looks leaner than usual, which I'm not sure is a good sign.

Also, it's a shame, Benoit Paire, is out. He's a real joy to watch.

Zverev-Thiem in the Quaters. That's going to be a fun match.

Zverev won three matches trailing 1:2 sets in a row. That's probably the least expected thing of the tournament and should make Thiem the favourite for the match. Even though he's so inconsistent who knows what's to happen.

i do not follow tennis closely but was going to make a point of watching s. williams-sharapova. and wow...the big butt withdrew referring to some chest muscle problems. the curious part is that the no show happened after the 2 engaged in a little verbal back and forth in the media.

frankly i dont feel all that much for either but serena is particularly annoying. was serena avoiding a resonating defeat or indeed had a physical reason ?

Well you only missed a duet of grunting and screeching and silly outfits but I am sure the injury was real. Williams is a competitor at all times. As for the media chatter why would you bother..........

Incredible match between Cecchinato and Djokovic, superb from the Italian to hold his nerve in that final tiebreak.

Wow, the lowest ranked player since 1999 in a semi and the first Italian male in forty years.

Cecchinato has had an odd career. In 2013 he was beating Thiem on clay in Futures events, but for four years he then didn't progress and now the last month he's been awesome. Ofc there was the match fixing thing, but imo match fixing (to lose) is by far the least bad of the major sporting crimes, especially when you're 150 in the world and earning very little.

Well deserved.

He's drawing terribly in quarters and semifinals for a loong time. And it's not like Djokovic was playing well enough to do much vs Thiem either.

What a performance by Cecchinato. Unlike his italian colleague Fognini he shows also psychical strength.

Oh Fogna. The insane talent and crazy antics made me a massive fan long ago.

Disappointing first set in the Nadal - Del Potro match. Nadal is not convincing, yet he manages to steal the set from Delpo. It can probably just go one way now
