Will Remco go for it again from far or they will play also the Van Gils card today?
I have the feeling that Maxim is also in shape and they are number 1 and 2 favourites over Morgado and Scaroni for today.

This means nothing for the reast of the season in terms of team level, but I think that moral Wien could be good if they start in a dominant way with several leaders and not only due toRemco raw talent.

A shame that Lipo is a bit sick, he could also win today

Evenepoel from afar, and Van Gils for the sprint

Very good team performance today, not only from Remco and Van Gils, also the kids controlled the race quite well until top of Puig Major with Boichis as last man again like yesterday.

@AlpRaid What's so funny? Van Gils' final punch today was very good. I don't think it's crazy to think he's a FW candidate.

Maybe Pogacar should just race more instead of only 4 races before LBL
Those 4 races are the most important of the spring classics, so Pogacar is not avoiding the best in the discipline.
For Pogacar it would be easier to go to Itzulia, ride more days and win 4 stages like in Catalunya than to lose in San Remo and Roubaix against MVDPafter exhaustive training for it. He can win Itzulia at his 70%, but he has to go to Roubaix at 100%.

Avoiding Evenepoel probably

Avoiding Evenepoel probably
Yes, because Evenepoel hasn't won any of the seven historic stage races, and because Pogacar suffered in Dauphiné, the last one-week race in which they coincided.

Let's be serious, for Pogacar, winning Roubaix is much harder, and even without MVDP he needs to reach his 100% at Roubaix. The training sessions are more demanding for Roubaix than to win in Catalonya like he did in 2024.

Pogacar is lethal in one-week stage races; remember that he beat Vingegard at Tirreno-Adriatico and Paris-Nice in Vingegaard´s best years.

Let's stop being delusional for a moment. Beating MvdP at Flandres and Roubaix is A LOT more difficult than beating Remco at Basque country and they are also much more important races

Guys, I’m joking, obviously. No one is avoiding anyone.

Then we have to stop pretending that RBH has a chance of winning the TTT at the Tour. This was basically Tour lineup + Finn
Shape matters too, not just for the cyclists. Most Movistar riders usually start the season close to their peak form, while Moscon, Denz, or Cattaneo just the opposite, moreover they still can add riders like FFB, Tratnik or Pithie to the final TTT instead of Finn and one of Moscon/Denz (I dont bet in both making the Tour lineup).

In any case, Movistar is a clear candidate for the top 5 of the Tour de France time trial, and RB Bora is a clear contender for the podium with a chance of victory.
