Great win today, but the hype is immediately too much imo. You cannot draw conclusions for GT victory or even competitiveness in GT’s from this win.

Nobody has, but nevermind.Great win today, but the hype is immediately too much imo. You cannot draw conclusions for GT victory or even competitiveness in GT’s from this win.
Hype always has a beginning, has it not? The last 5 pages read like the 2nd coming. It's not because one or two make that jump, that it's a hype.
A hype would be a significant bunch doing that, but I think most realise a monument isn't a GT ;-)
The last 362 pages read like that.Hype always has a beginning, has it not? The last 5 pages read like the start.
I wanted to break the news gently.. but yeah. The last 362 pages read like that.
And a more powerful punch than Tyson Fury's.
True. We have seen him throw punches plenty of times.
Great, aggressive move. Have to think it could have been retrieved if there was anyone(two) willing to put in a serious effort. This one paid off in a great way!Great win today, but the hype is immediately too much imo. You cannot draw conclusions for GT victory or even competitiveness in GT’s from this win.
A look at the list of winners of this race show that in the last decade only 2 LBL winners (Roglic and Pogacar) have won Grand Tours in their career.Great win today, but the hype is immediately too much imo. You cannot draw conclusions for GT victory or even competitiveness in GT’s from this win.

The favorite to win the Vuelta? Seriously, Pogacar and Roglic are on the starting, automatic favorites to win.He is now again the next Eddy Merckx, no matter what the actual Eddy Merckx says. Also the favorite to win the Vuelta.
But not Mike Tyson's...And a more powerful punch than Tyson Fury's.
And a little luck. Sometimes a moment's hesitation in others is all it takes. But not Mike Tyson's...
Today we finally saw it all come together for Remco - fitness, tactics, timing, parcours. I admit I was starting to doubt just a little whether he could win a top level race. He shut me up good!
I havn't seen this monumental victory, for that is what it is, translate into folks hyping him for a GT victory. But I haven't read through each and every post. Some have. Read carefully.

last decade. Not last 3 decades. Evergreen is just that. His Vuelta victory seems a century ago. Insane. You are forgetting Valverde.

Sorry. But if you didn’t read it fully, why did you make your original comment? Even on this page someone hyping him to win La Vuelta this year. Like seriously? Some folks need to get real.I havn't seen this monumental victory, for that is what it is, translate into folks hyping him for a GT victory. But I haven't read through each and every post.
When exactly can we draw a conclusion then? Just curious.Great win today, but the hype is immediately too much imo. You cannot draw conclusions for GT victory or even competitiveness in GT’s from this win.
I don't know, how many pages do I have to go back to? Well then, in the last 10 pages or so from my first response to you, I didn't read the hype you mentioned. And frankly prior to that, I don't really care.Sorry. But if you didn’t read it fully, why did you make your original comment? Even on this page someone hyping him to win La Vuelta this year. When he wins a GT. Wouldn’t you agree? Just like with basically all other GT contenders. After that, a previous victory can be somewhat used as a predictor for future GT succes imo. When exactly can we draw a conclusion then? Just curious.
