It will be a crazy day if Evenepoel wins Sussie by minutes and says after he isn’t going to the Tour.
Gotta win Tour of AustriaIt will be a crazy day if Evenepoel wins Sussie by minutes and says after he isn’t going to the Tour.
And then Deutschland Tour to infuriate everyone even more.Gotta win Tour of Austria

This is entirely possible. His altitude adaptation should have worn off by now and he hasn't done any altitude training (only after TDS). So his level in this TDS will be quite we bit below his best.
If WVA didn't participate i would have thought the ITT are a piece of cake, but that will b a hard battle now. (since WVA is fully prepared)
For the mountains, we will need to see... I don't think we have seen him climbing at strato levels without his altitude camps. So it would suprise me if he is riding like in catalunya..

He was at Teide before Catalunya, I just checked his Strava. He didn't have any altitude training before Cataluyna or the UAE Tour. He dropped watt bombs in each
Basso only won 5 of 6? Or close to that, Remco gotta fix that right upAnd then Deutschland Tour to infuriate everyone even more.
So we will now know what a down to Earth Remco is capable of.This is entirely possible.
That was in Denmark though.Basso only won 5 of 6? Or close to that, Remco gotta fix that right up
Oh yes sorry, I was a kid during that era and it never connects in the memory reading about it like it does watching it hahaThat was in Denmark though.
Danish, Dutch, Deutsch; it's all Greek to some peopleOh yes sorry, I was a kid during that era and it never connects in the memory reading about it like it does watching it haha
Anyone read the article on another site that ends with the author suggesting that he thinks Remco will ride the Tour? Interesting.
As long as you don't mix up Dutch and Belgians, it's fine to me ;-)Danish, Dutch, Deutsch; it's all Greek to some people![]()
The Flemish take care of that.As long as you don't mix up Dutch and Belgians, it's fine to me ;-)
Those ITT's might be hard fought between Remco, Wout, Ganna and home riders Küng and Bissegger. His altitude adaptation should have worn off by now and he hasn't done any altitude training (only after TDS). So his level in this TDS will be quite we bit below his best.

Agreed. Those ITT's might be hard fought between Remco, Wout, Ganna and home riders Küng and Bissegger.
It could give some indication for the WC TT although the first TT is probably too short for that.
I very much agree with your first paragraph. But I think Suisse fits in fine with all that.If he can go in le Suisse, he can go to a trainingcamp for 2 weeks in livigno or somewhere to prepare le tour. He can go to the Tour without pressure. To ride the tour in the world championship jersey could be a once in a lifetime opportunity , he can try a gc but if he doesn't have it he can get a great stage win or two in the rainbow jersey. And this would set him up perfectly to defend his title in Scotland.
I don't really understand the plan to do Suisse instead
Im no expert on training, but that plan seems a bit cramped. I think you at least want a few days rest before TdF, and you also have some logistical things when riding that race - team presentation etc., so realistically its closer to 1 week proper training before TdF when you also wanna recover a bit after Suisse. If he can go in le Suisse, he can go to a trainingcamp for 2 weeks in livigno or somewhere to prepare le tour.
