Remco's closer to Cavendish than Levi. Levi could go to twig thin with no butt.
I actually went to check height/weight for Remco and Levi after I posted that... almost identical. Levi also a good TT:er and won plenty of one-week races, but in Grand Tours couldnt match the best. "Just" came close a couple of times.

Cavendish not so much imo. Both slightly taller and weighs more.

It's indeed Leipheimer! I hesitated to say it yesterday, but you're absolutely right!

Also, when is his first race? Is it San Juan?
Seems there is much less hype about remco and his spring programme compared with this time last year. Maybe he is not a big name anymore.

But that's probably good for remco, he can do nice comprehensive training in a relaxed environment away from medias. Right now he's in Costa del sol training at sea level.

Hopefully we could see him at some new races. Paris-Nice, Sanremo, Flanders, Amstel. He always attack. And he will defend his title in liege Bastogne .

I had one source saying his first race would be Algarve, but someone told me that was actually never confirmed. Landa is doing Algarve.

Not sure why this needs to go under the radar. As if Roglic, Pogacar and Vingegaard aren't going to do a recon of key stages...
Couple things could be in play. One, CN headlines are click-bait oriented. "secretly recons" is certainly one way of describing not posting rides to Strava. One might also say "recons" and mention in the article that he'd turned off Strava.

I don't think it's because he's trying to hide the fact he's reconnoitering these stages, I'm with you, that makes little or no sense.

The reason he didn't post? Maybe it had to do with wanting to avoid media attention during the week after Christmas. Probably wanted to have his family around and not be hounded. Maybe to focus on the work in a location which seems likely to result in a swarm of attention from interested folks on the holidays? Either way it seems like the level of scrutiny he's under would be the driver.

Indeed that makes the most sense
