Not sure why this needs to go under the radar. As if Roglic, Pogacar and Vingegaard aren't going to do a recon of key stages...
Couple things could be in play. One, CN headlines are click-bait oriented. "secretly recons" is certainly one way of describing not posting rides to Strava. One might also say "recons" and mention in the article that he'd turned off Strava.

I don't think it's because he's trying to hide the fact he's reconnoitering these stages, I'm with you, that makes little or no sense.

The reason he didn't post? Maybe it had to do with wanting to avoid media attention during the week after Christmas. Probably wanted to have his family around and not be hounded. Maybe to focus on the work in a location which seems likely to result in a swarm of attention from interested folks on the holidays? Either way it seems like the level of scrutiny he's under would be the driver.

Indeed that makes the most sense

First time I've seen Fausto without his bike and his helmet on. I didn't even know what does he look like.

To be honest he's also been invisible on his bike recently...
Bro do you even watch cycling, fausto is a big name of the sport.

He's laughing, but you can see Remco is disappointed he didn't win.

He even almost resorted to cheating. Fausto could have pushed for the disqualifica if he wasn't such a gracious guy that show remco the right way to win. Remco again showing his true colours as a belge, just like wva when he used an illegal lube in the final of e3 to get a smooth drivetrain and win the race , after 50km wheelsucking

Who is wva? The belgian pozzato?

Who is remco? The belgian Cunego?

Bro, Remco is no belgian Cunego.
He is a mix of belgian Simon Špilak and belgian Michael Rogers. So a very good rider, but he is no Cunego. Cunego won the Giro and Il Lombardia. You need to watch more cycling...
I know that, cunego and petacchi were my favourite riders when i was a kid. I just said cunego because they have similarities phisically.

Why do their face look so AI generated

I asked ChatGPT who took it way too serious.

The faces in the image you provided do not appear to be AI-generated; they look like actual human faces. However, sometimes the quality of the image, the lighting, or the motion blur (when capturing fast movement, like cycling) can make faces appear less detailed or slightly altered, which might give them an unusual look.

Additionally, the expressions and the angle at which the photo is taken can sometimes make faces look different from what we're used to seeing. Helmets and sunglasses also obscure parts of the face, which can contribute to the perception that the faces look unnatural or 'AI-generated'.

Tota

Totally agree.
