Very good start of the season for Remco with 3 wins in Portugal. The only thing missing was a road stage win in the Algarve.

Now onto Paris-Nice where a much tougher challenge awaits.

- Take the TTT
- Burn it
- Pile the ashes in a nuclear waste barrel
- Drop said barrel at bottom of ocean.

Aside from that - Auron is an awful, awful MTF.
Auron is fine for this race. Only Couillole and Turini have been significantly harder (and not recently delivered great racing). Auron is as steep as those two.

I like the TTT, it was great fun last year with Pogi burning up his team and Jumbo not burning up their riders quick enough.

Mont Brouilly is a really good stage, and we could plausibly have GC racing 7 out of 8 days.

It should really suit Evenepoel, but also offer plenty terrain for Rogla (and others) to attack him. Can't wait.

When it doesn’t influence the GC it doesn’t matter that much. He could laugh with it after the race. And I’m not sure if he would’ve beat Martinez, it’s not like Remco has been at altitude yet.

If Remco loses 4 kg he won't have his full TT power. It was meant as a joke, and sort of serious comment. Maybe should've a smiley emoji.
Got it, however, as Froome-dog and Skeletor have shown, you can hit maximum low body fat and still have the Power. This is Soudal's big prep task.

Rewatched it and you can clearly see him riding a lot more out of the saddle as usual, in a too big gear. Didn't noticed it live because he looked really good and in control.

Looking forward to Paris - Nice and his first battle with Roglic etc.

Well, some can do that. I think it's an innate talent like VO2 or sprinting, not necessarily something everyone has equal access to. At what energy balance does the body stop producing the useful hormones and go into survival mode?

As a fan I don't enjoy the side of the sport that is "starve yourself to win" because that's not behavior I think we should emulate. Like people idolize Lebron James because he can run fast and jump high and has good coordination. We idolize our cycling heroes because they exist less than the next guy?

There is no reason why body fat should give one power. Therefore, in order to perform at one's absolute best, one should have as low a body fat percentage as possible.
