He made the horn sign (boohoo, he's 19) hence he co-signed Keisse's action. What the hell  Evenepoel nor Richeze weren't even looking at what Keisse was doing the moment the picture was taken. How on earth can you, based on this picture, say that they 1) actually saw it and more importantly 2) laughed with it??
You said Keisse was maybe trying to be his cool uncle... trying to get noticed. I agree. To me it's quite obvious what Keisse was trying to accomplish. I suppose there's a theoretical, extremely unlikely possibility that the other two guys standing behind her didn't witness any of it, even though Keisse was IMO clearly looking for some form of, um, male bonding. But it looks bad to me.

Seems a bit silly to make all these assumptions. Photos are taken in an instant. Fair chance he had the horns up before Mr. Hipthrust made his move, which probably lasted all of about 2 seconds. How many photos which look dramatic seem like nothing when corresponding video is played?

Oh please!

It's crazy how these days something like taking a picture can even be considered an "assault".

She realized that he is probably famous and wealthy (to Argentinian standards) and she is looking for a payday.

It is a shame that the society got to this point when everyone is easily offended and everyone is looking for a payday.

I'll say: "SCREW HER!" ... (no pun intended)

You're part of the problem. Full stop.

If you did that to my wife there would be no confusion about what constitutes an assault.

Please do not make this personal.

I have not made any personal comments or attacks to anyone on this alleged "assault" topic, so lets please get back to the original topic, shall we?

Remco did great today and I'm looking forward to watching how this "wolf pup" will handle the longer climbs.

About the ITT: “In al mijn hevigheid ben ik iets te snel gestart. Het zal mij niet meer overkomen. Ik ben en blijf hier om te leren.”

Translation: "In all my fierceness, i started a bit too fast. I won't make that mistake again. I am and will remain here to learn."

Wow. The kid is for real.

Yeah exactly my feeling! This is really impressive imho, and I didn't expect this. Top 15 sure, top 10 maybe, but this is a really nice result.

He was doing 500+ Watt the first 4 k, which was a bit too much and he couldn't keep up his speed in the last k. If he wouldn't have made this mistake, he actually could have won it. This kid is for real indeed.

Haha this guy. A podium spot was within (the higher ends of) the expectations, but you still have to do it, with all eyes pointed at you. Heck, he might have won or at least very close to it if he didn't start too fast.

I'm very curious what will happen on Alto Colorado.

Yeah this was kinda expected, as crazy as it may seem. I never once thought the pressure would be too much for him.

As for the MTF... I think maybe the lower end of the top 10? Not sure how Movistar is going to play this, but they could place 3 guys in the top 5. Insane ITT by Anacona, too. (Contract year...)

Yeah, top-10 seems reasonable. Not sure what kind of effect the altitude will have on him though.

Any idea what the climb is like? 18,9km @ 4,4% avg, but is it a steady gradient all the way up?

In terms of the characteristics of the climb Remco is arguably the best suited to it as it is far longer than ideal for Alaphillipe and Nairo Quintana would want it to be more like 8-9% average gradient. Will depend if his level is enough and I think it might be.

Big factor on his final stage placement will be how aggressive Movistar are and if it becomes a requirement for him to ride in defence of Alaphillipes race lead.

There was an image when he crossed the finish yesterday, where my initial thought was... he can still lose quite a few pounds. I know he only weighs 61 kilo's, but i think there is still some babyfat as well as upper body muscle that he's still carrying around from his football days. When in his blue outfit, with his helmet and glasses on, he even looked a bit chubby :) (i know he's not, but especially in his face, you can see he's still a "boy").

He's listed as 1.71 m/61 kilos. He does look a little heavier to me, but I had no idea he was so short. Is that correct?
Yes. He said last year that he weighs 61.5, that he already lost 9 kilos since his football weight. At the WC he said he lost a little bit more weight (i don't think he specified) and that he had been living a little more healthy leading up to the WC, less junk food etc. He said during the season he ate 70/30 (healthy/unhealthy) and leading up to the WC that was 90/10. I'm paraphrasing. I have seen him mention that he was 1m72, so it's possible he grew one cm over the last two years. But 1m71/61kgs is about right.
