Merckx finished 9th in the 1967 Giro.
And finished all stages in the top 10 says procycling stats (is it then possible to only finish 9th overall?).Merckx finished 9th in the 1967 Giro.
They didn't list all the stages. I count nine missing stages. And finished all stages in the top 10 says procycling stats (is it then possible to only finish 9th overall?).
Ok that makes sence. I don't believe it is mathematically realistic that if always finishing in top 10 you only end up 9th overall (I know a rider who ended in a stage race always between 10 and 20 and was 8th overall: that is logical ;-)).Bikeraceinfo says otherwise: http://www.bikeraceinfo.com/giro/giro1967.html
Not likely, but possible. I believe theoretically you could end up in N*9+1 position, where N is the number of stages if you finish 10th in each stage.Ok that makes sence. Seems like bug in procycling stats to only list the stages if they have the results of the rider. Maybe they should list a NK result -Not Known ;-).
Algarve... day after tomorrow. When is Remco next schedule race?

The last stage is against the clock
I notice that the bookies are not taking a risk. Evenepoel is the overwhelming favorite to win the Volta ao Algarve. The last stage is against the clock
Procyclingstats only lists top10s for the early years like 1967.And finished all stages in the top 10 says procycling stats (is it then possible to only finish 9th overall?).
