Remco should just have followed Alaphilippe and Van Wilder.

He should have indeed. I guess that was the plan. They were all three positioned on the left of the road, but too much shouldering, Alaphilippe probably not the easiest one to follow, ...

Nice performance, needed to record since couldn't watch live.. Surpised they couldn't catch Jay though.. So it wasn't a nuclair performance. (or Jay did, given he is a big chunk heavier). As mentionned in the vuelta stage topic, i wonder how deep he went or if he kept reserve to follow Mas just in case?).
Rather big differences for being a Cat 1 climb.

He seems much friendlier than hinault though, i can't see remco punching a farmer or pushing someone off the stage. ;)

lol... not totally sure about that after the many chronicled moments when he has waved his arms in frustration or pushed an Ineos rider...

Impressive, really didn't see that coming today. He simply rode tempo and dropped all the other favorites bar Mas, who could only follow. Smart not accellerating wildly, which means he is thinking long game. Hopefully he doesn't have a bad day, but if he continues like this through the TT it looks great.

Hopefully he does have a bad day otherwise this isn't going to be the most exciting Vuelta.
