I don't know. In the interview I mentioned (it was a while back and I can't seem to find it anymore) he did realize that it would hamper Lampaerts classics campaign and that he doesn't know if Lampaert would agree. He just said he'd love to have him in the team. I really don't think the team is going to send anyone to the Giro that doesn't want to be there just because Remco picks them but I could see them trying to persuade Lampaert (or at least more so than Alaphilippe or Asgreen).
Imagine if he picked Asgreen, Sénéchal, Lampaert, Ballerini, Steimle, Van Lerberghe and Declercq.
