With Remco making another comeback, what are everyone expectations this year?
Me personally I'd like for him to target winning the following (even though i'm not sure he'll even compete in half of these):

-Brabantse Pijl
- Romandy
- National TT
- UEC Road Race

+ Throw everything you got at TdF and see where you'll end up against Pogacar and Vingegaard.

winning anything else would be just gravy in my books after all that happened again.

Would like him not to focus on the ITT at all apart from in stage racing context as he has won it all already and he needs to get away from the nonsense concept of needing to be a little heavier to excel in the TT.

Euro Road Race could be a good one with the parcours this year.

National TT ain't the same as European TT or WC TT. Lampaert, WVA and Segaert are solid competition but they ain't quite Ganna, Tarling (and in the future Pogacar). So he should not need to hold on to extra TT weight in order to compete.

UEC road race seems well suited for Remco looking at the parcours picture. Haven't checked the actual lenghts of those climbs and their gradients though.

For context, the UEC RR is pretty much the Faun Ardeche (?) classic route, with the Saint Romain des Lerps (7 km 7%) climb and the short and steep climb after (2 km 10%). It takes place a week after Worlds.

Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately Evenepoel isn’t riding it this year. Belgian director already said this isn’t feasible with all that travel

I’d love to see Remco in MRS. On the Poggio, IMO, it would have looked completely different with Remco in the race. He’s not afraid to pull either so might have dropped Ganna at least on Cipressa. But on Poggio, I think he would have countered earlier than MVDP. They slowed significantly several times. Had Remco been there and countered, I could see him sneaking away or possibly him and Pogi breaking MVDP. Likeliest winner still MVDP but would be fun to watch.

Does the route suite him for UEC? I also would like him to complete that bingo card, one of the only riders in the peloton that can. But a WC is a WC, he’s already vaccinated and it’s the biggest race in the fall.

I hope he does UFC at some point.

Given his racing program, and that of Pog and Vinge, I´d say a lot of podium places, very few wins.

Riding it as Tour TT prep I can get but I would hope he would not taper his form and training for it.

I don't think he would ever taper his form and training specifically for the NC TT. As long as he's in decent shape he should always be able to compete for the win (although Van Aert's TT's have gotten a lot better recently).

Then again, I think he might skip it again this year if he wants to do a short altitude camp again between Dauphiné and Tour like last year.

However, he should have a good shot at the NC RR as it is in Binche so it'll probably be a hilly parcours.

Euro RR is interesting as it's definitely a parcours that suits him. There's also no jetlag to overcome in travelling from Rwanda to Belgium/Europe so I guess it should be doable.
