Yeah, I expected less impact of the winter crash. Apparently it still has a big toll on him. Lucky for Pogacar really.

Apparently Pogi and Vingo asked Remco to give them a chance and not to take part in Tours 2022 and 2023. Remco generously agreed and fortunately for the duo their luck continues now due to external factors.

Yeah, that's classic Remco. Doing things like helping Lecerf finish top 10 in the GC of Romandie instead of just winning it himself. As well as just not attacking on Cauberg such that Skjelmose got a chance in the sprint. Great guy.

1. Will he beat Lipo today?
2. Will it mean anything for the mountain stages to come?
3. The battle for 3rd is all we have left, right?

1. Yes
2. Hopefully
3. Yes

If he loses against Lipowitz again today, I can't see him win podium

I’m not so optimistic. Expecting him to be around 5th place today. Hoping for more of course, that it was just his bad day yesterday.

His performance today should tell more about his level and if he can still saves his podium spot.

Because his Vuelta win influenced significantly his win of the Velo d'or. No way, he wins with only LBL and WC on his palmares.
His win also got influenced by Vingegaard being able to beat Pogacar in the Tour, if he didn't, Remco would not win the Velo d'Or.
But he did win the Vuelta and Pogacar didn't win the Tour. And Pogacar in 2022 was NOT Pogacar of 2024 or 2025. So what are you even babbling about.

Man, they are all lucky because if I had won the Giro, the Tour and the Vuelta, i would have won the Velo d'Or!

I think you are not impartial in your judgment, you believe the opposite. Let's really move on.
Never thought i'd see the day where you needed to teach others about bias.

It would depend on whether he would ride the normal stages on his TT bike as well. But coming from SQS, at this point, it wouldn't surprise me.
They deliberately went for the black bike, since every gram counts according to Lodewyck. So I guess ITT bike doesn't weigh that much more than yesterdays bike? OR they believe that if Evenepoel is in his bars (even uphill), he would gain more than the extra weight due to less drag.

There is no way that TT bike is within 1kg of the normal road bike, which it would need to be imho to make sense.

Plapp, on a regular bike, just beat Van Eetvelt's time by 3 minutes. Let's see how good the idea is of doing it on a TT bike.

Even if he loses with 1-5 seconds?
Yes imho. He needs to properly spank Lipo today, otherwise I don't see him being able to hang with him in the mountains, let alone out-climb him. Obviously, Lipo is young and we have no benchmarks for him at the sharp end of Tour GC, but at the moment he's in great form and has the forward momentum; that's a powerful combo for a GT. Remco needs to look sharp today.

His best year was 2022 because he somewhat got lucky to avoid aliens in top shape. I don't believe he would beat Pogacar in LBL 2022, let alone Vingegaard or Pogacar in the Tour 2022. He won the Velo d'Or (with merit) but it's clearly the best rider in 2022 was Pogacar.

lol, u are somewhat fixated on one track argument. nowhere was I even comparing his 2022 season to others. I was only pointing out that HIS best season was 2022. I never said he would beat the aliens in the TDF that year.

also pog in 2022 -- tho already the best all around cyclist -- was not what he is today, nowhere close. he lost the TDF and was largely invisible at the worlds when remco rode everyone off his wheel. one cannot imagine pog losing either of those races now. but then, for sure. so don't be too sure pog would be a fait accompli at LBL in 22. Today, sure. but then, he was still part-human. no idea what happened to him between 2023 and 2024 seasons.

WC was also influenced by Mathieu's issues and Pogi's not so good racing strategy.

pog was unable to drop anyone in the peloton on the climb when he tried.

completely different pog than what we have now seen in 2024-25. utterly different level.
