@AmRacer

Do you have to beat Pogi at the Tour, to say you beat him at a GT? Anyway, lets return to Remco.

Is not doing San Sebastian health and form orientated issue or a silent protest due to the team not willing to let him go?

Pogi is pondering retirement in 2028 while Vingo will likely decline by 2029. Remco needs to seat out just 3 more TdF editions and then it's his time to shine.

but have to deal with del toro, seixas, even ayuso...

and then the next batch of GT riders/explosive climbers.

no clear path to be sure. got to hope for a zoetemelk, nibali, or cadel-type year.

or if he benefits from a seismic shift as pog did between 23 and 24. then again, I am not sure I would be thrilled by that either.

This is it folks, i already read enough here. Things like Remco would destroy Cancellara on an e-bike, it's too much for me to swallow.
Ignoring the technology, aero advantages and what Cancellara produced in his career on both TTs, PR and RVV is too much for me.
He doesn’t literally mean Cancellare at his best on an e-bike. He means Cancellara at his best WAS on an e-bike. So basically he’s saying Evenepoel is better than prime Cancellara

Would be stupid to write that since that is definitely a bannable offense.

Well, I get what he‘s referring too obviously but it‘s really hard to tell someone you‘re joking if you say something that some people actually believe in.
I wanted to PM, but seems i can't for some reason. Let's just say sometimes i believe in conspiracy.

Just saw an interesting video. If he ain't doing it yet, then Remco should start riding on balanced wheels

Reverting to factory settings. Landa might be captain on paper, but it's all hands on deck when a sprint train is needed.

Landa might want to go Giro-Vuelta to avoid this fate.
Makes more sense. In Giro-Vuelta he could ride podium. Which gives the opportunity for SOQ to have riders like VPP and Van Wilder to stagehunt in TDF.

Wait so now we've had bad winter, pollen, illness, shoulder and cracked rib all as cited reasons for underperformance? They're really dragging this out now.

I don't want to give them any ideas, but Mercury was also in retrograde.

And no I am not saying at all he had no reasons to underperform, I am merely commenting on the ever changing story and dragging it out.

Dragging it out is the media re-using old news as if it's new. The illness was known for a while now. SOQ isn't discussing it anymore, it's the media that makes an article about it.

Wasn't he already? I mean they will still have GC option or do you reckon they will drop it altogether?
I don't know. I can imagine that they move back to a team focussed on a sprinter, lead outs and a number of strong riders to chase a stage win in hilly and mountain terrain. Landa is a question mark to me. I assume he is allowed to go for the GC, probably with a guy in support, a bit like Mas did when he was at QS in the past. Again, I am not sure. Maybe they see opportunity in signing an other GC talent.
