No doubt he is very informed about racing in general. I had no idea Remco's father had regular communication with Bruyneel. IMO he is and always will be his own promoter which I find slightly less distasteful than his willingness to cheat and lie.
Remco's old enough to be his own man and hopefully he makes his own choices. He doesn't need Johann's endorsement for anything.

I don’t think he’s promoting anything in this case, just offering an informed observation. It wasn’t meant as an endorsement and I’m sure Bruyneel would agree Remco needs nothing of the sort.

Whatever one thinks about him, it has to be said that the guy has more cycling knowledge than just about any commentator, particularly for English -speaking fans.

I agree with this. I also think he's much better informed than people might imagine given his exclusion from modern cycling, because he still knows so many people in the sport.

You can still benefit from it, there is also resistance inside. That’s why a lot of riders do this in Mexico at altitude because there’s less resistance.

Aerodynamics aren't the "same" inside, but in still air it's a huge factor, and on a flat course, more important than weight.

Zero chance for Remco to match Ganna's power, his superpower is being crazy aero.

Indoor aerodynamics are slightly different in that it's mostly perfectly windless or maybe there's some convection in the the velodrome, but this would be marginal.

Basically it means that you can assume that the wind resistance direction is always perfectly frontal. Dan Bigham I believe mentioned that in practice this is different from outdoors where you can have any wind affecting this, so the frontal profile and shape become slightly less important outdoors while they are more optimal indoors.

Bigham sort of implied he was better on track than outdoors TT for this reason. i.e. his sideways profile isn't the best but his shape is so optimal for low CdA he can achieve a super low CdA despite being relatively big.

Yeah, tell them. Very disappointing that neither of them are present, especially Vingegaard, but unfortunately no surprise. Its very hard doing a GT into Worlds, more so for Vingegaard than any other rider apparantly, or so I was told. Then its a lot better to wait a week to races a meaningless race!

Outstanding comments if accurate, I assumed delivered with a "Gonna do what I'm gonna do even if I might get smoked doing it" way? I don't think he has any allusions about who Pogacar is.

I stopped listening to Bruyneel when he claimed to have "insider knowledge" while he was just repeating what "Mou" wrote on this Forum.

VDP could also tell Remco to look for opportunities in San Remo, Flanders, or Roubaix. And Vingegaard could tell him that not finishing a GT in a year leaves the legs fresher.

The reason Evenepoel doesn't race more than he does is 9 times out of 10 due to injury.

He has raced every WC RC an WC TT since 2019, except when he fell of that bridge. I think he is exceptionally well positioned to comment on anyone asking what he thinks of rivals not racing the WC. He believes it is a missed opportunity for them because it is clearly a very important race for him. I completely agree. It's a disgrace to the sport that top athletes decide not to race a WC. In what other sport does this happen?

I agree but I still believe it should be a goal of the sport to have its best riders competing at the WC. They should make the course hard but the climbing within limits and with some yearly variations in intensity so chances to win are better than zero for the heavier guys. There should be a clear incentive to have the top UCI ranked riders to participate too. If cycling wants to increase its credibility, the WC is a starting point. We can't expect to get interest from non-traditional cycling countries if the top stars are missing on the event that in most sports is considered the main event of the year.

You wont get Vingo unless the WRR course is Briancon to ADH via the Lauteret then a circuit climbing the Sarenne 4X followed by the traditional summit finish at ADH

No, however, his utter dominance of the TT indicates he doesn't have to fear anybody, not even Pog. It's a necessary altitude, that of a champion. At the same time, and this ties into your statement about knowing who Pog is, Remco stressed having his feet on the ground and the need to just keep to the plan. Let's see.
