I understand people not liking Bruyneel. He’s done some really shady stuff. Not sure it’s worse than a lot of others who get more of a pass, but that’s another conversation. I don’t think he’s promoting anything in this case, just offering an informed observation. It wasn’t meant as an endorsement and I’m sure Bruyneel would agree Remco needs nothing of the sort.No doubt he is very informed about racing in general. I had no idea Remco's father had regular communication with Bruyneel. IMO he is and always will be his own promoter which I find slightly less distasteful than his willingness to cheat and lie.
Remco's old enough to be his own man and hopefully he makes his own choices. He doesn't need Johann's endorsement for anything.
Whatever one thinks about him, it has to be said that the guy has more cycling knowledge than just about any commentator, particularly for English -speaking fans.
