Because he aint got the skillsIf Pogacar or Pidcock push I one descent on gravel, Remco is distanced

If the similar scenario happens to this year, with Pidcock and Pogacar going forward and Remco being caught in the G2 dynamics with 1 or 2 UAE guys, I don't think he'll just pull everyone really hard to come back on the flatPidcock...
He may gap Remco on a descent, only for Remco to catch up on the flat and drop him like a stone when the road goes uphill. Just as Remco did at the worlds and Lombardia
There were some on youtube who actually truly believed that Pidcock could beat Remco at Lombardia, only for Pidcock to be ground to dust
We're talking as if Pogacar has 0 offroad skillsIf the technicality doesn't help Pidcock in any way, shape or form vs Pogacar in Strade, it's not too technical for Evenepoel to consider racing.
Pogacar is technically far superior to Remco. We're talking as if Pogacar has 0 offroad skills
I'm not saying Remco can't race it, but he shouldn't expect being competitive for the win. Target a podium if group dynamics allow that
I bet not at soccer.Pogacar is technically far superior to Remco.
It's not confirmed as of yet. But the article said Remco mentioned Catalunya as races to experiment stuff. And Giro participation still undecided. Waiting for 1 dec.I'm surprised he's doing Volta Catalunya. It's a race usually done by those going to the Giro d'Italia.
I thought the Giro already told him there was only going to be one ITT (the 40 km one). Is he looking to see if the mountain stages are like easier or something? It's not confirmed as of yet. Whether Vingegaard races or not should be way, way more important than the parcours for Evenepoel.I thought the Giro already told him there was only going to be one ITT (the 40 km one). Is he looking to see if the mountain stages are like easier or something?

In 2021 maybeAlthough Ganna isn't that far behind Remco on a completely flat ITT.
In 2021 maybe
He lost 22s in 19km’s at a basically flat ITT in the Giro of 2023. The gap has only increased between them.Ganna performs very well in GT. Considering the time Pogacar lost in this Tour and the last Giro, I don't think Ganna lost too much.
According to PCS, the longest TT Jonas has ridden was a 40.7 km ITT in stage 20 of the 2022 TDF, where he should've won but he elected to gift it to Wout by slowing down in the final kilometer to savor his first Tour win.If the single ITT is closer to 60 km (could easily get it to that length by including a loop at the start or finish), has Vingo ever done a very long ITT?
Remco has won 2 WCTTs on very long ITTs (23, 24)

Realistically, I think if Jonas and Remco rides the Giro and let's say, there's a 60 km ITT (which we can only dream of but we know it's not gonna happen) on the menu, I think Remco gains 1 minute to 1 minute and a half, if both are on a good day.
Hard to say, much depends on how fresh Remco and Jonas come into this. But a minute seems about right.
Two minutes if this was a TT only race.
