I guess if he's taken the knee, lord Lefevere may deign to let him race again.
He could take a healthy knee from someone. But... I don't think that's allowed.
I said exactly that earlier in the year, and literally within the week Oul’ Pat was announcing Sam’s departure.I mean, if I'd watched Morkov do his thing this year, I'd be biting my lip & trying to stay at QS...
Only official DQT knees are allowed and definitely not some pre-owned ones from Froome.

He’ll ride Worlds. It’s probably too lumpy for him and too flat for Dan Martin, but we’ve nobody else, so sure let them at it and see what happens.Unless some forgiving happens behind the scenes I don't think Bennett is riding again this year.
Besides Worlds unless Lefevere has more poll than he lets on.He’ll ride Worlds. It’s probably too lumpy for him and too flat for Dan Martin, but we’ve nobody else, so sure let them at it and see what happens.
All the talking to the media is already counterintuitive of the Wolfpack. I thought 3 weeks ago Ballerini and Morkov could win bunch sprints.Even besides Worlds, there's a whole bunch of races left on the calendar (Covid effects notwithstanding), stage races, one-day races, whatever. Several of which Sam's won/won stages at in the past. And there are too many of them for Cav and Jakobsen (who's going to be in Spain for a month) to get to all of them, so to not send a Sprinter to, say, the Sparkassen Munsterland, or Brussels Classic, or Tour of Britain*, just because of some grudge over contract negotiations, would be a bit counter to the whole Wolfpack ethos.
*Tbf, Cav will definitely get to ride the ToB if he wants it, as he should.
I have no doubt about that, I’m wondering if/when he’ll ride again in 2021.Bennett won plenty of WT races including GT's without Morkov - He'll be winning again in 2022.
It is quite ironic that probably the mildest mannered top sprinter in the recent history of the sport has managed to be involved in two of the highest profile, most bitter, transfers in quick succession.
I do admire his public stance in both situations, whatever he may say or do behind closed doors. He just maintains a dignified silence and lets other people make themselves look worse. Even as Lefevere foams at the mouth like a mad dog in the Belgian press, Bennett just thanked the QS team and staff for two successful years and makes no public reference to his employer’s public abuse.
Lefevere has confirmed that Sam needs knee surgery and won’t race again this season. And doubled down on his “mentally weak” comments.
Lefevere apologises for domestic abuse comments and confirms Sam Bennett is out for the season
'My opinion of him remains the same, but what I wrote about intimate partner violence was not appropriate' says Deceuninck team managerwww.cyclingnews.com
Even worse when he was saying he’ll cut Bennett’s salary if he doesn’t ride and to treat Lefevre with respect. So he does need knee surgery but also he is not injured he is mentally weak
Strange logic exists in the mind of that man Lefevre
Due to ride the Euros for Ireland. No sign of pulling on a DQS kit any time the rest of the season, though.
Haven't seen the course... what's it like? Any good for him?
