Fair point but couldn't he have just got the likes of Emma O'Reilly to drive it over the border?

TBH I never knew he had a flat in Switzerland.

Wow, thats hard evidence. He has a house in Switzerland.
Everyone with money has a house in Switzerland.

Is Georg Clooney doping too ?

BTW: Like always, you can forget 85% of what the hog tells if he stars touching his keyboard. I am tired of correcting this guy without payment.

Neither did the IRS.

So Armstrong goes to the trouble of buying himself a special doping base in Switzerland? Wow.

There's a little bit of me that's in awe at the massive commitment / attention to detail that Armstrong put into his doping activities & T de F victories. He gets an exclusive deal with Dr F - the best in the business, he corrupts the UCI, he makes sure his team are systematically 'charged up' & ready to support him, he browbeats the peleton etc etc etc.

Perhaps when you can add something to the conversation of any importance, however small it may be, you could be taken seriously. 99.95% of people didnt know he had a place in Switzerland.
I am tired of already correcting you without payment.

Perhaps it sickens you just a tad, that when you hop on your Madone, that it just doesnt feel right anymore? So sad to be you.

This guy must know what he's talking about, because he used to be a telemarketer, and he used the word "steroids" eight times.

"Lance's good works matter above all else, even steroids"
Lance Armstrong has helped save lives. And steroids made that possible.
Lance Armstrong would do the world a favor by eliminating cancer -- and he's trying. His supporters have helped him try as well, but they needed a reason to believe. By winning the Tour de France every year, Armstrong gave them that reason.

What are you trying to say ? :D
Are you blind ?

Dude are....no wait....it is well know for many years that Armstrong often lived and prepared in St Moritz in altitude.
This is no scandal and wasn't on the table since thehog told you. Armstrong made no secret out of that.
Problem ?

I buy the HemAssist & Testosterone stories but I have my doubts about the St Moritz 2003 airport anecdote. Would Armstrong have been daft enough to bring 'gear' through Swiss Customs? The Swiss are notorious for being anal about this kind of thing & surely Armstrong would have assigned this task to a lackey?

Where is all this going to end? I haven't a clue. I don't particularly want to see Armstrong locked up but I do want him run out of pro cycling permamently.

SI had multiple sources for that story. It was not just Floyd, others on the plane confirmed it.

In fact SI had multiple sources for most everything in the piece. The editor used not having 2-3 sources as a reason to leave out some of the best information.

Armstrong's friends....err, employees, are all turning on him.

sbs.com.au had some parts of an Armstrong interview. He comes off as scattered and off balance. He got the start money so he has to do the press conf. but his reactions to people asking him about the SI article is dumb..After the 1st question he should have made an all in one statement..instead he calls a guy stupid and comes off like a real putz. The fact that the UCI and the TDU promoters don't have a format that will allow people to get interviewed about cycling instead of doping. If a guy badgered any rider I would pull the press pass off of their neck

+1 on the bold, but in this case isn't doping, cycling? Inextricably linked.

Re

Isn't that their job? Not to 'badger', but definitely to pursue. It just became the biggest cycling story at the TDU 2011?

Re: The article - Sparse but poignant. Thanks for the tip.

He's got on his Doh! face... Deer in the headlights...

"Dude, are you that stupid? Which part of 'I'm not commenting' is not clear to you?"

As a previous post noted, he does seem to be 'crumbling'.

It's gotta be tough living the lie when confronted with facts.

Usually narcissists are immune, but perhaps not in his case, must be that pesky anger management issue.

with the form that people are showing right now Lance has little chance of a result at the TDU. His role as dragwagon for Robbie is not going to serve him well either he doesn't look to have much snap and even less pure speed. I think the press is going to pick at him a little hoping to be the writer that he explodes on..Any question will probably set him off. "Why did you show up so poorly prepared"?"Does that SI article feel like a bag of cement in your jersey ?" I hope he has something because right now he looks like he is in small ring mode. The one thing about all the people rubbing their faces on the pavement is it takes some of the reporters away from Lance..he probably likes that

Hmmm, are you sure?

Doesn't he have a financial stake in the UCI headquarters in Aigle?

Meanwhile, I posted the link to the article on a few non-cycling websites I visit. It's a mix of what people think. Half believe it's likely true, and disappointing.

The other half take the old "innocent until proven guilty" mantra. Or that these are merely accusations, no smoking gun. Or that the FDA investigation is just that, until there's a conviction. Of course they don't understand the depth of the issue, nor how corrupt the UCI is and how poor testing is at catching cheats.

Aging, image conscious actor could be an HgH candidate. Maybe it's legit boutique treatment in the .CH.

This may have been posted previously, but geez, drinking the Kool-Aid there Bobke.

As the Bobke whines....

(Yes I'm talking to you, Bobke. I am pretty sure you lurk this Forum. Your buddy Lancie's 'legal pit bulls' seemed to have muted SI in this instance, but it can't last for much longer.)

Roman Polowski does not have a place in Switzerland neither, but both are criminals and deserve to be locked up.
